What do Customers Say about the Solar Works Energy?
Positive reviews:
“From my first meeting with the sales rep Eric Salazar who was professional and answered all my questions through all the follow-ups with him and Hailey Escobar on the customer service team this was a good experience. The installation team was professional and courteous. I am pleased with how the process worked.” – Satisfied Customer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 27, 2023
“Synergy Power was helpful from my first inquiry through the install and supported me well after the install. Marshall was patient with all my questions and provided me with all the information I needed. I have a metal shingle roof and they showed me work they had done on other homes. Their install crew was quick and professional and did quality work. Over the past couple of months, whenever I had questions about the performance of the panels, they took the time to answer my questions. They also did the work at a fair price.” – Satisfied in Ogden ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 19, 2020
Negative reviews:
“We had our panels installed in February of 2022. Our inverter has been out for months now and our sells rep. Chris kept insuring us that someone would be out to fix the problem. Now they never return our calls or answer our calls. No one at the company will give me a name or number of someone else to talk to and state we have to go through Chris. We now not only have a high electrical bill, but a bill for Solar panels that are useless. If you are thinking about getting solar panels, I would do a lot of research prior to deciding on this company and even if solar panels are worth it in the end.” – K. Riordan ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 26, 2023
Positive reviews:
“You will not be sorry if you choose to get solar panels with Solar Works. I have had the best experience. From Christian, the first person who knocked on my door, to John, the gentleman who sat at my kitchen table for a long time explaining everything to me, to my installers Albert, Martin, and Sammy. They were all kind and knowledgeable. John was the best… He told me what would happen step-by-step and has been available along the way to answer my questions with quick, friendly responses. This is a great company and I am looking forward to switching over to solar power as soon as my inspection is done!” – Jill F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 20, 2024
“We purchased our solar from Solar Works Energy in Albuquerque. They were very professional and always showed up when they said they would. The quality of work was excellent. When it came time to submit paperwork to the State of New Mexico for tax credit our nightmare began. We encountered numerous issues. After weeks of frustration we contacted Stephany Farley at Solar Works, who put our concerns to rest immediately. We cannot say how much we appreciate Stephany’s experience and expertise working with the NM Solar Tax Department. After contacting her we received our Tax Credit the very next day. In our book, she is AMAZING. Thank you Stephany!” – Claudette C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 23, 2023
Negative reviews:
“Rude salesperson. Entered a gated property that was clearly marked No Trespassing. When asked why they went through a marked fence, they answered that is my job. Pushed through the fence to get off property resulting in damage and don’t even apologize.” – Corinna B. ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 26, 2025
“Abusive work environment. Exploitative. They hire sales people who are educated, promise immediate profit and then manipulate their words to go back on the original contract. They require their sales reps to do daily trainings and incentivize them with unrealistic goals that don’t value their employ or their customers. Their sales employees are not paid, gas is not paid for, promises are made and then changed. Sleazy treatment of employees means that the customers are also not taken care of. You would think that a company that cares about sustainability and saving people money while also focusing on reducing reliance on fossil fuels would take care of their employees, but they do not. They literally do not pay their workers at all and take advantage of them. Terrible business model, how can you trust a company that does not value retention for their own employees and expect them to take care of your home.” – Holly A. ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 31, 2025
Positive reviews:
“I loved my experience with solar works! It was a very seamless process and when we had issues getting info from the loan company the solar works team stepped in and helped us get our answers. They are a great group of people and we enjoyed working with them very much!” – Jessica C ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 2, 2024
“Solarworks installed solar panels on my house in June of 2019. My panels have performed exactly as they promised. My electric bill has been reduced exactly as they claimed. I was pleasantly surprised. Most businesses exaggerate the performance before they sell the product, but that was not the case. The panels are zero maintenance. I dont even know they are there. They also look nice on my pitched roof.In 2022 one of the panels cracked for some bizarre reason. Solarworks replaced the panel with a new one free of charge. A while back, the wireless provider, that provided communication with my solar panels, no longer provided the service. A couple days ago (January 31, 2024) I notified Solarworks. Two days later (today), Solarworks fixed the problem free of charge using new firmware that doesnt require a provider. This allows Solarworks to monitor the performance of my system free of charge. The personnel are kind and nice to work with. I highly recommend this company.” – Jeff M ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 2, 2024
Negative reviews:
“If I could give a 0 star I would! My solar was installed in March, I received an email saying that they will take care of the state tax paperwork on my behalf. I was also told by the sales guy that they would take care of the paperwork.I called on April 4th asking for the tax rebate paperwork and was put in touch with Stephany. She said she would get it all processed. She sent me an email with the Federal and State paperwork. Federal went thru no problem, but the state wrote back and said that there were no more funds available. I was confused on why the paperwork was not filed in March like I was told was happening. Stephany had her manager email me and said that in May they stopped filling out the out the tax paperwork. He sent me an email that they claim they emailed to me. I never received the email and dont understand why the didnt complete the paper Work inMarch like they said they would. They claim they are not liable. We are out close to $4,000.00 in rebates Buyer beware!!!!” – Luis A ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 11, 2023
Positive reviews:
“Knocking on a 100+ doors, learning not all people will answer or give you the time of day, but pushed to keep trying by higher management often providing positive feedback! The management was great, very helpful, and understanding! I could definitely tell they believe in what they sell, and are very good at it, often providing great techniques! The hardest part was walking door to door often I’n very hot weather but the payout was definitely the most enjoyable part of the job! ALL IN ALL ITS A GREAT JOB! :)” – D2D Sales ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 30, 2025
“This job allows you do curate your own life style and understand what discipline will do for your life. Motivating you to become the best version of you.” – Regional Sales Manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 11, 2025
Negative reviews:
“Very poor leadership. Avoid at all costs. they sell an item but dont even fully educate you on it. There is no set script and there is no real training involved. They let salesmen who had one good month be in charge and they let him fire people who are good at their job.” – Sales Representative ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 9, 2023
Positive reviews:
“Why I was so ever lucky to have chosen Solar Works out of the three companies who came to me to consider their services. I went with Solar Works because I had a gut feeling they were professional and would be around in years to come – and was I so right. When the Inverter went down recently, I contacted Jennifer Atkinsons to report the solar failure and she immediately took action to see if a replacement Inverter was available – and one was. Within a week my solar system was up and working. I sincerely thank Jennifer and the service department for their expeditious response. I am so happy with Solar Works.” – John Mata ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3 days ago
“Super cool people! Very respectful of my property, animals, and plants! Wonderful installing and fast. Sales representative vary nice and took the time with all our questions. Inspectors very friendly and informative. Good local business! Shout out to Manny, Connor, Martin, Albert, Clarence, Daionis, and all the Solar Works team behind the scenes!” – PirateGoat13 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3 months ago
Negative reviews:
“My experience was pretty horrible. I talked to a rep in Oct 2024. It’s now Aug 2025 and my solar panels are finally being activated after being promised they’d be installed and activated by the beginning of summer 2025. The install was a complete mess. A 1-2 day job took 5 and I’m still being told the tech needs to come back to do more. The customer service has been great, but that doesn’t matter when deadlines are missed by months. All in all a pretty terrible experience. If you can go with someone else, I would recommend it.” – Michael Burris ⭐☆☆☆☆ 3 months ago
“Their service truck drives like a maniac and almost caused an accident on I-40 east bound at tramway. The truck was speeding and swerving and cut across lanes sporadically. I wouldn’t want someone that careless installing solar on my roof. And from a customer service stand point, when I tried to call to report it to the company, it was impossible to get to an actual human being — the sales number rang endlessly, the customer service line gave unhelpful options, and all other options I tried didn’t get me to a real person. We were supper happy with One World Energy who did our solar install and helped us through the whole process including tax rebates.” – Melody ⭐☆☆☆☆ 10 months ago
