We asked him other questions about expanding the systems capacity and we were pleasently supriced in the information provided. “Initially I was pleased with EHS. They seemed to know what they were doing, answered all my questions, and the installation went smoothly. That was over four months ago – November. Since then, I’ve been waiting to actually have a system that I can use. First, scheduling the city inspection was delayed until January. I gave EHS a pass on that one and chalked it up to the city being backlogged. After failing the initial inspection (You’d think EHS would have this down by now), I’ve been waiting patiently for a re-inspection. EHS blames the city, but when I called the city department directly, they claim they are waiting on additional information from EHS. I’m caught in the middle of the finger pointing. Now I’m having trouble getting EHS to call me back. “The incompetency we have seen at all levels has been astonishing. We contracted for a panel install 7 moths ago. Although the system is still not operational, we are required to make payments. Because they have already received payment and don’t seem capable to pass inspection, they have just stopped communicating. While terribly disappointed, we have been very respectful and patience. He took the time to walk me through downloading the Tesla app, set everything up, and made sure I understood what I was looking at. Even though the interconnection with Duke Energy took a while and only went live today, Kirby still stopped by to make sure everything was working the way it should. He walked me through the app again, answered every question, and double-checked the system before he left. His attention to detail and the way he stays on top of things makes a big difference. “EHS installed our solar panels in May, 2024. At the same time, they installed our A/C and heating system. All was well for about a year, and then I had an issue with the heat. I called — no answer. I must have left six or seven voicemails and got no return call. Finally, I called another independent heating service. A year later, again, a problem with the heat. I called EHS. At least someone answered. A very nice woman informed me that no manager was available to review my warranty because they were ALL at an off-site training session. All of them. I expressed my frustration, told her this was my second disappointing experience with EHS. She sympathized and the. Added that they actually no longer offer service to their systems, but they will offer warranty service, hence the need for someone to review my watt see if I qualify for some help. Since the install was about 18 months ago, I apparently do NOT qualify — so why not just tell me that? I called an outside heating and cooling company. “It took 8 months from start to finish. They charged me $1000 for the $750 RETE tax package but never paid the money to RETE so I am not able to use their services and the money has not been refunded to me. They also owe me a refund of $4900 which I have been waiting for since December and the manufacture of the solar panels has placed a $12,000 lien on my house because EHS has not paid the balance even though they have the full $54k from me. “I did my homework prior to doing an inquiry about solar for our home and let me just say, that out of the companies that I spoke too, EHS were the only ones that could answer all my questions over the phone before doing the onsite consult and this was a plus. When we scheduled the onsite consult, the sales rep was also fully knowledgeable about the products and process and even explained the process in detail which made our decision a lot easier. On installation day, we had a small hick-up and the installation guys were able to fix it on the fly and worked hard for 3 days (in hot, humid, rainy weather) to get the installation done. Best installation people we have ever worked with and would recommend them to everyone. The electrician we had on site from EHS, was also able to answer our questions regarding our connection and things we were considering down the road. Even the office people we spoke to on the phone kept us in loop of the next phase prior to it happening. “Ridiculously bad service. EHS installed my a/c in May 2024, Goodman, by Daikin. the system froze up and started leaking in October 2025, 17 months into what was supposed to be a ten-year warranty. BUT EHS NEVER TOLD DAIKIN THEY HAD INSTALLED THE SYSTEM. Daikin says they can’t honor a warranty that was never registered. Almost a month since I reviewed this with EHS, they have done NOTHING to straighten out this mess. I’ve spoken half a dozen times with very polite staff who assure me they are doing something. “I wish I could give a negative star. Avoid them like the plague. 20-year warrantee is a sales pitch. They refuse to support their installations and manufacturing vendor is the only line of support because they stand by their product. The production of the product deployed says EHS doesn’t even respond to their calls. The sale’s rep even sold me on products that are not available. These new panels are 3% more efficient but when you call in they do not even offer that product. “Seems like we’re having the same experience as several other customers. Take the money and run! No customer service, literally trying to get them to come out for MONTHS with no responses, system completely down not producing anything for about 7 months now. Spent 45k on a solar system a few years ago with them and it was a complete mess from the sales team to the installers, and now customer service is nonexistant.
