“We put in an 11Kw Sun Solar System last summer. Their installers did a fantastic job. I did not compare Sun Solar to other companies. Maybe my bad. We installed a solar system that was supposed to put out 1 1/2 times the electricity we had used in our highest previous years consumption. After 1 year our True-Up was over $3000. When I asked what happened, they said we used to much electricity. I have been asking for help from AM Sun Solar to try and help figure out why. They are not interested to help us understand why this happened, and they say their electrical contractors also have no skills to help us resolve why. I get email notices that help me to see the days when there have been particularly high Solar collection. The panels are on the South facing roof so that is optimal. “The company was negligent to let us know pigeons can roost up in the Spanish tile and cause a pest problem. Never even mentioned it during sale or install. Now we have a pest control bill in the high thousands that offset the whole reason why we went solar. All A.m solar did was try to pacify the situation and basically washed their hands of it. “Mark, We did NOT add a spa/jaccuzi so there is no reason why your work should not have covered our expenses. Your manager who came out after we complained to you at first, said that the panels were not placed in the most effecient location to catch the sun. “AM Sun Solar arranged zero down financing with a credit union providing low interest rates (4.99% APR) over 12 years, with monthly loan payments lower than the old electric bills. Additionally, our home Fair Market Value should have increased $54,000 immediately, according to criteria of both the Solar Advantage Value Estimator and the ‘Appraisal Journal’. Plus, the unique inverter installed provides backup ’emergency’ daylight electricity from solar power alone (without the need of any storage batteries or outside mechanical generator) during PG&E blackouts. “Hi if you have Spanish tile roof DO NOT GET SOLAR NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. You will get pigeons and a fat pest control bill in the high thousands. Offset the whole reason why we went solar and the company does not tell you before hand, which I felt was extremely negligent considering all the experience they boast about.
