“Updated Review I’m going to update my previously posted review regarding my solar install. Although the install was less than spectacular and damages occurred to the property (as I previously stated), Adam (owner) did make it a point to come to my house on a Saturday and get a grasp of the situation himself. He was apologetic and agreed to remedy all issues. I have to say the communication between us has increased greatly. Unfortunately due to the issues we had I cannot give them a five star rating but i will increase my rating of them for the effort that was made to make sure all issues were resolved. “A disaster of a company. I heard great things about them in my research so I was excited. When we did our install with them, they left a complete mess. I had to clean up the crews wet clothes, bags of food, beverages. They left massive holes in my driveway when we trenched for the electricals and they didn’t clean them up. I called them numerous times and took three weeks before someone called me back. They then came and repaired about half of the work. Firstly they made the process very easy starting with the very reasonable and most competitive terms from the very first proposal (Will was responsible for the sale); this saved me time and headach on going back and forth as their first proposal was the most competitive. Then it took them only one day to install and test the system! Throughout the process and after the installation (you usually dont get that) their team was available to address any questions on the day i called! “About a year ago I contacted Empire Solar to install solar panels, upgrade the existing electrical system and replace the old roof. I recently noticed dark spots in the attic. I became concerned about the moisture coming out from underneath the attic walls. I immediately called the office and spoke with Tal about this issue. Without any hesitation he said he would have a worker come to the house and fix whatever needed to be done. He called me later in the afternoon that someone would come sooner and then asked me to send him pictures of the roof and attic. He said that the contractor would install 3 vents, seal the skylights and spray a product in the attic to protect the wood frame. “I purchase Solar Panels and a Generac Power Cell (PC) System from Empire Solar. When I asked them if they had experience in installing the Generac PC, representatives of this company stated that they were one of the few Solar companies approached by Generac to promote the PC system. After installation, they neither explained or reviewed the system with me. Furthermore, there are problems with the PV links and I can’t read the Kilowatts coming in from Central Hudson. I have made numerous attempts to contact Empire Solar and they have been unresponsive and do not call back or follow up when I leave messages. Do not do business with this company. “I felt well taken care of by the team at Empire Solar throughout this whole process. They were very responsive and willing to take all my questions around the clock. They also got everything done quickly with the town and electric company to set it all up. It took about two months from first consultation to actually getting the panels turned on after all the inspections. Now the panels are on and working- of course it’s winter so not hitting amazing numbers, but Empire Solar gave me a $500 winter signing bonus to help alleviate starting this process in the winter. “I got double the solar for my house they did a fast job getting it up and running. Problem is it’s not bringing double the solar like I was told it would do. It doesn’t even produce enough solar so that I wouldn’t have a central Hudson bill which I have every month along with a solar payment. Solar is not worth it like they will try to get you to believe. “Do not use this company. They completely undersized my system and then will not respond to my request to fix there mistake. They disappear once they get your money even though they claim that they will work with you over the life of the system. I’m absolutely disgusted by the customer service, literally no one ever answers – absolute incompetence. “My experience in dealing with Empire Solar has been very positive from the initial interview with Nore ********* all the way through to the final installation by *** Demonte, and ****** along with the electrician ****. The engineering plan was very efficient, and they took great care to avoid my deck while running the cable. It took only 5 weeks from initial interview to installation, and the installation crew was able to install the panels on my steep roof in less than a day. “I installed solar panels with Empire Solar Solutions LLC over two years ago. They still have not closed the building permit with the City of *******. Because they have not closed the building permit, I have not been able to sell my property. For the past month, I have been reaching out to Empire Solar to solve this issue, and this has not been done yet. I am about to lose the selling of my house because of this. If you get panels installed with them make sure the building permit is closed once the installation is done so you are not in the same predicament as me. “This company has lied about everything. I still get bills over $100 a month in the winter time. Empire says it’s the utility company fault and the utility company said it’s their fault and no resolution has been solved. The tax incentive is very deceptive. They told me I would get $16,823 exactly in tax incentives but they don’t tell you it could take 5 years. They make you take a loan for that amount at 0 percent interest for 18 months. My 18 months is up and now I have to come up with over 11k because I only got $4700 back on my taxes this year. I have been trying to get these issues fixed since January and nothing gets done.
