“The installation went very well. Lance did an excellent job of explaining how the system works and gave me several good ideas how to install a backup system. Mason, on the other hand never followed up after the contract was signed. The last time he met with us, he promised information on kwh differences. I have not heard from him yet. This is typical of the service I received from him. What he needs to learn is that follow-up is a very important part of selling. “After getting quotes twice since our home was built in 2014, we finally elected to purchase in the fall of 2019. Warning to all! – They were so backed up with installations we could not get on the schedule until February. Don’t delay! Their prices were competitive and we had a number of options. The install scheduling and installation went quick and was well done – excellent, clean job installing the conduits in the garage. “Our solar project was a little more complicated than most due to multiple arrays and a number of wiring runs but true south did a great job of not only getting everything to work correctly but taking the extra time to make sure it was laid out very well, very organized, and no shortcuts were taken. Some of their own internal review of the project meant moving panels to make them better lined up for looks without me having to even bring it up. “The sales team was easy to work with and the installation crew was excellent. However, our final cost was $5000 more than anticipated because the Oregon Department of Energy incentive was denied because of a late filing. I believe this was due to poor communication with myself and among the staff. That was a major financial hit for us as we are retired and living on Social Security, and it also makes a huge difference in the payback time for the system.
