His survey was very thorough, as expected, and we were supplied with a copy upon request. I was glad we did because it helped us understand what would be done. The air source heat pump and solar installations went ahead without a hitch. Everything works as it should. We raised a couple of queries about a slipped roof slate and the (fiendishly-complicated) Google Nest thermostat supplied as standard, and I have to say that these enquiries were dealt with courteously and efficiently, which makes this a 5 star review. “I originally agreed to install solar in Oct 2020 with Impact Energy. I was able to have some needed electrical updates performed in tandem with my solar installation. Our system fired up in Feb 2021 and I have been super pleased with the production and support I’ve received the last 1.5 years. I did recently have a couple of equipment failures occur and the Impact Energy team was super accessible any time I had questions or requested follow up and always prioritized having someone visit to assess the issues. “I have had the good fortune to work with Mackenzie and the Impact Solar crew on several projects. They consulted and installed my original solar array, then 3 years later serviced and replaced an out of date Solar Edge converter for me. Then they added more panels to my system when the rules from Excel changed. Just as that work was going to be done, we had that huge hail storm of June 2023. Mackenzie to the rescue, he met and negotiated with the insurance adjuster every step of the way and got a great settlement for my roof, home and property damage. “The electrician, Paul H., kept me informed at all times. He was professional,accommodating, knowledgeable and an all around joy to work with. He gets a 5 rating! Walker B., one of the inspectors, was also friendly and knowledgeable. Very pleased with the actual ownership vs leasing of these solar panels, my upgraded electrical system and the future addition of my EV charging system. Con: Wasn’t informed about the timing/day of all inspections and iI’m so glad that I’m retired or I would have missed them just showing up. Yesterday Xcel tech’s came to swap out my meter, no call just dropped by…Reflection on Xcel and not Impact Energy. I can’t comment on the savings except on the fact that the rebates have increased this year so good timing on my part. “The sales process and financing was a breeze. The install was fast and the system works great. I did have a issue with the attitude and work of the electrical installer. I always judge a company by not the mistakes they make, but how they fix the mistake. I called the owner and explained the situation. He corrected asap and had the work redone to my liking. Overall a good experience and would recommend. Edit- our roof in the garage has been leaking since our first rainstorm after install. I tried to contact the owner several times but completely ignored. My concern is, if the roofing in the garage is leaking then what about the house? “BUYER BEWARE!!! Our parents went solar with impact about a year ago. The sales process was great we worked with a girl named alex. We recently have been having issues with the system and reached out to alex over the last few days for help. She made it clear to us she no longer works there and the company is withholding money from her. We are now incredibly nervous we could end up in a situation with a non functioning system and a company that may end up going under.
