“Unicity Solar has been the ideal choice for our first solar experience. Meshack has been amazing! His no high-pressure sales tactics, no hard selling and a respectful tone have kept us feeling comfortable, much less anxious about the extremely weighty decision we were about to make. Meshack has been exceedingly easy to communicate with, extraordinarily responsive to texts, phone calls and emails. I researched six companies, suggested to me by Energy Sage, held meetings with five representatives. Unicity Solar was not the cheapest option, but they were the right option for our solar needs and our budget. I will be saving between $70 and $100 on my power generation costs each month. “It took them six months to just to get to the install phase. During that time I made many phone calls. Never once was there a follow up. I had to push and prod the whole time. If I hadn’t, the installation would have probably never gotten done. More than a month after the installation I was still waiting on the Net Metering installation. Why you ask? Because once again they dropped the ball and made a bunch of excuses why they hadn’t sent me a simple email to move the process along. Pitiful work ethic and pitiful customer server. “Buyer BeWare!!!! Unicity Solar came to my house and offered us a 6kw system, that would on average take my $174 electric bill down to $82. Looking around $90 savings a month. I would like to share my expenses with everyone. So I purchased 20 Solar Panels about 3 years ago from Unicity Solar. My monthly payment was $95 a month. After about the 2nd year, I had to refinance because the tax credit didn’t work they way it was explained to me. My new payment went to $151 a month. My average savings with the 20 Solar Panels is $31.54 a month. I’m not a Mathematician, but spending $151 to save $31 doesn’t add up to me. For the first 6 months, my wife had to deal with Duke Energy to get the correct meter connected. So our panels production could be used. When we tried to get answers on the poor production from the panels, it was either our pool causing issues or that’s what we should have expected or they just wouldn’t return our calls. “We have been dealing with this company since April and we still do not have solar connected to the grid and it is now the end of August. Everything about this company seemed sketchy but we went against our better judgment because we are trying to go green and because solar makes sense to us. However, we did not do our due diligence and re-search and it is clearly showing. We get phone calls and emails asking if everything has been completed and it has not. This dispute has been going on for 2yrs now and I am constantly reminding Enerbank the loan company to please help us with this however Enerbank tells me they cant do anything about it until they get the funds back from the company. “Stay away from this company. First their salesmen total roped me off by over charging me for solar by 30 grand. Promised me pool solar install told me to use all my propane for my gas heater. So I did and that cost me 300 hundred dollars. Then sent an electrical to fix something they screwed up when they were done they tripped the gfi on my freezer costly me another 1500 dollars. If u see Unicity be careful and salesmen Tate or Quinn who work for Suntria stay clear of them also. Let the quest for attorneys begin.
