What do Customers Say about the Es Solar?
Positive reviews:
“I contacted ES Solar after seeing an add on UTube. ES Solar connected with me by phone within hours and we set the ball rolling! All the people we worked with and talked with were polite, respectful, listened well and responded to our questions and concerns. The purchase went very smoothly, with ES Solar recommending Credit Human Credit Union as the financial institution handling the loan. The actual installation went as smooth as possible, even though it was interrupted by sever weather conditions! Inspections were done in a timely manner and we were well informed when the Inspections took place. We are very pleased with our purchase, very pleased to have selected ES Solar as the company to work with for this project! Thank you to all the nice people we worked with: Jaeger, Jamie, Mica, Jared, Enoch and several others!” – F&P ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 30, 2025
“My husband I and I recently had the Tesla Power wall installed with ES solar. We’ve had solar panels for several years, and they worked smoothly with our existing panels. Their team worked quickly and efficiently. Shortly after our install we had several emails from Rocky Mountain reporting a power outage in our area due to an accident. We did not have any interruption at all! We are so excited to have a way to store energy from our solar panels to be used when we really need it. Thank you ES Solar!” – L Morris ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 17, 2025
Negative reviews:
“Would give this company a zero star rating if it would allow it. Everything at first was great until things that were promised to you in the sale and paperwork. Was told my payment wouldn’t be for six months when actually was only 90 days which made my payment double what was disclosed to me. I wasn’t supposed to have a payment tell after my tax rebate and all other rebates that were promised. All was told I would receive 500$ from the salesperson to help if I had to make one payment before the six months and also a 500$ welcome gift. I have tried contacting this business multiple times with no success no call backs no emails back. Poor customer service seams to be there place in this business. I feel like I was scammed big time by this company just so they could get there sale and dip out with my money.” – Jeremy Neal ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 24, 2025
“We went over by last years electric bill and we already had 21 panels on the house. we paid around $100-$150 a month. ES Solar salesman and engineer looked over everything as said we should add 8 more panels and a battery to get us down to just the grid fee. We decided to go with the plan and now we 29 panels and a battery, we only charge our cars during the time our panels are getting solar, we removed a garage fridge and stopped running dishwasher, and laundry when the panels get a charge. now are electric bill is higher than it was prior to making those changes. we pay over $200 a month, the solar edge app shows we are also giving power back to the grid after our battery is fully charged. we have called ES Solar so many times and nobody gets back to us but they say they are looking into it. I had to ensure the solar and the battery were installed based on the timeline they provided us and I had to call over ten times for the rebate check from ES Solar and for them to provide the power company the documents for that rebate check as well. poor company, all they want is to make a sale. The installers were great and polite.” – Nic ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 12, 2025
Positive reviews:
“The first non intrusive solar company I’ve looked into! They were super knowledgeable. Gave me the info and let me decide. The whole process was very easy. They communicated everything ahead of time and had things completed on time or even early.” – Parker T. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 19, 2025
“We love ES Solar and their service! They recommend batteries and additional panels to our home which has been a big upgrade to our current system. The entire process has been seamless and the technician, installers, etc. went out of the way to answer questions and offered recommendations to maximize a greater return.” – Carrie C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 13, 2025
Negative reviews:
“Horrible is the word that best describes this whole company. They will come into your house and lie lie lie. Once you actually finally break down and make you thinking it’s a good idea they just leave you in limbo unknown. No communication. If they finally do call you with some random “project manager” they will set up a date to install that means nothing to them at the crazy time of 6 am. Then no call no show. But if you cancel on them or want to reschedule it’s a $500 dollar fee. The best they will do is respond when they feel like it with a “we are trying to get you a couple months paid” on your 20 year loan.” – Jacob J. ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 19, 2025
“Originally asked for sufficient solar to take us off grid with no budgetary limit. Gave them a summer electrical bill and they consulted with their engineers to come up with how many panels we should get. We purchased 2 power walls in addition to their recommended panel count. They say their engineering dept is adept at calculating the needs of a home, but do not trust them. Their estimate for our panels is woefully short and is not enough to fill up our batteries, so the money we spent on them is wasted. I have spent months trying to talk to them about the problem and they Continually drop the ball. Zero communication for weeks at a time. Time will tell but so far our experience, including numerous unwarranted and unprofessional installer outbursts, damage to our home, and technical disasters during installation are enough for me to post the review to warn other consumers. I’ll change the review if my experience changes, but our year with them has been poor by any standard.” – Ben G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 20, 2025
Positive reviews:
“Es solar installed my battery on existing panels. They were very professional and kept in contact with as I was away at work. They also have been really good with their follow up. They are very friendly and care about the customer.” – William B ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 14, 2025
“ES Solar was great to work with, from start to finish. They made sure I was aware of what the plan was, what to expect and what I might need to plan for going forward. I can’t recommend them enough for your Solar needs.” – Aaron B ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 13, 2025
Negative reviews:
“On 11/5/2025, an ES Solar representative (named ***** *******) came to my widowed grandmothers home to sell her a battery. My grandmother already has a solar system installed under Utahs Schedule 135 net-metering program, which runs through 2036. When I pointed this out, the representative insisted she was not grandfathered, which is factually incorrect. This came across as fear-based selling to create urgency.I also explained that my grandmothers system does not overproduce during peak hours, meaning a battery would not benefit her or reduce her Rocky Mountain Power bill. The representative dismissed this and continued pushing the sale anyway. When I questioned the loan structure (3.99% with a 30-40% dealer fee versus a high-rate/no-fee option), the representative became visibly irritated, stated she knew more than me, and attempted to exclude me from the conversation despite my grandma clearly needing help to understand. My grandmother told her she is widowed and cannot afford additional payments, but the representative still pushed forward.Regardless of whether this is poor training or intentional pressure tactics, elderly homeowners deserve patience, honesty, and full transparency. After this interaction, Im extremely concerned about how ES Solar may be treating elderly customers who dont have someone present to advocate for them.I would encourage this company to review how its representatives handle vulnerable homeowners, verify information before making claims, and avoid pressure-based tactics.” – Shane B ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 5, 2025
“I have a serious pigeon problem. Part of the reason I decided to add panels was they promised to install critter guard on the new and old solar panels. When they showed up for the install they claimed they weren’t sent out with enough critter guard. I called and they made an appointment to come finish installing the critter guard, but when the day came they ghosted me. They never returned another call. They never gave an explanation. After they were done I also had 3 shingles blow off my roof. I wouldn’t trust what their salesmen tell you.” – Curtis T ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 3, 2025
Positive reviews:
“The definition of you get out what you put it. Amazing flexibility to choose when you want to work and how much you want to but you get out what you put into it” – Setter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 2, 2024
“I’ve been working with es solar for a couple of days and my team has been super helpful with answering my questions and with training. Everyone seems to get along which is super rare these days and I absolutely love it.” – Appointment Setter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 30, 2024
Negative reviews:
“Too much ego. I loved this job and have had the hardest time leaving it, but some people just have big egos and only care about what they are getting out of it” – Setter ⭐⭐☆☆☆ July 2, 2025
“Executives only care about making money and if you can make them more money immediately. People that work here are passionate and they’re making it work” – Leads Manager ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 21, 2024
Positive reviews:
“Had ES install a battery backup for my existing solar system. Curtis Anderson was the sales guy and was incredible. From then on it was an incredible experience. The install went great. Even the sheetrock repair wasn’t too bad . I’m looking forward to continuing to deal with them. I have two guys here right now activating the system. Two great kids! I would completely recommend this company for anything solar!” – keith robinson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 18, 2025
“Our ES Solar installation team was efficient, knowledgeable and professional. The install of the low profile solar panels, wiring, electronic panels, battery and followup testing was completed in one day. We appreciated the follow up orientation meeting to ask any questions we had about our new solar system.” – Annie Pratt ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 18, 2025
Negative reviews:
“Worst customer service ever! I purchased a $45K system that has not gone a single year without multiple serious issues. Now when I call and send emails, no one replies or answers the calls. I tested this theory last month when they wouldn’t answer my calls and were sending my calls (Multiple times in a row) to a generic mailbox. I then immediately called from my office, one ring answer, AMAZING how that works. Nothing has gone right with this system and 5 years later, still has multiple issues. My neighbors with fewer panels and less pristine view of the sky are still producing more energy than I am. Im ready to start litigation against this company very soon!” – Joshua McFadden ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 4, 2025
“One of your reps Janel attempted to scam my grandma on a battery she did not need. This company is allowing these sales reps to visit elderly customers that already have systems through another solar company and are marking up a 7k battery for 20k+ while these sales people make the spread. Be careful who you get solar from and look out for integrity” – Bailey McKivitz ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 4, 2025
