“I am a satisfied customer of SolarTyme. I readily recommend them. From first consultation to system activation was about 3 1/2 to 4 months. That includes financing, getting permits, structure inspection, county inspection and Dominion giving the authorization for system activation. I wanted a large system, I produce more electricity than I currently use. It is banked for me to use in the future. My total Dominion Energy bill is now $7.98 for the past 2 months. There is a minimum charge for having service. Previously, I had bills over $200 dollars for periods ofhigh usage. There were a few minor issues along the way but they were handled quickly and efficiently. I was concerned about a company possibly lacking contact after contract was signed but this has not been the case, communication has remained good. “Contract signed in December of 2021. HOA approved plan in early February. County provided a permit middle of March. System installed end of April. 5 inspections had to be scheduled due to failure to comply with county code. Discovered 2 panels had consistently reduced peak output. Multiple emails and phone calls and no one has come out to inspect the installation to ensure connections are good and packing materials were removed. It has been 2 months and all I get are polite email replies that they are waiting on technical support. Very poor communication during the entire process. “If you want to be lied to and have everything misrepresented go ahead and waste your money. I can’t say anything good about this company. There is no customer service! I was supposed to have 5.8 kwh installed and I got 3.8 Where is the rest! The system is off and on and does not work for months at a time. I called them to discuss and was told nothing is wrong, even though he told me on the phone your system did not work in 23 for 3 months and again in 24! Does this make sense! The salesperson said if any panel operates at less that 92% then they would come out and put up a new one and let me keep the one that was not working up to par. “They claimed I did not qualify for the whole system that I contracted for so they only installed 6 panels and would come back the following year to install the rest. Gave me a 2 year price hold called them back the following year to complete the project was told we can’t finish it for that price. What a bunch of crap. “We use SolarTyme for two of our properties we bundled them together at the same time and I have to say that it has not been a pleasant experience. We have failed the counties inspection multiple times because SolarTyme has failed to provide them with the proper documentation before the inspection. after we passed the inspection which took three attempts in one property and two on the second one we notice that energy usage was still the same. I’ve contacted multiple people to include the “Operations Manager Cliff” and they pretty much have done nothing. I constantly have to call and email them to receive any type of update and the updates provide are them beating around the bunch saying “we will get a technician out to your site,” there’s no date or time ever schedule. I’ve been emailing and calling them for over 4 months now and have yet to resolve any issue. we are currently paying 2 loans for the solar panels that don’t work!! don’t waste your time and money going with this company. they’re great at the beginning with the sells pitch and scheduling installation. “Things started out great with Solartyme. I hesitated and decided I did not want the panels. Denzel came back and gave us $15,000+ off the original price. Graham and Denzel were great to work with in the beginning but then he stopped taking our phone calls. We were told that the panels would pay for themselves and we wouldn’t pay anymore out of pocket for our loan between the money we put away(monthly savings from having panels) and the amount we would get from srecs. Got our solar panels in March. After all of the inspections were done, we were able to use the app and noticed a couple panels not working correctly. My husband notified Graham and Denzel. After a few months, I noticed we weren’t selling any srecs. Denzel called me, and he states that he didn’t realize the srecs wouldn’t be sold monthly like he had stated while pitching solar panels to us. They also were not the amount Denzel stated they would be. We were expecting $65-$70 per srec and we only received $28. Still waiting on the issue to be corrected with the bad panel and it is now April. I was told back in January by Graham that it was being taken care of but he has since disappeared once again.
