What Do Customers Say About the SunTalk Solar?
Positive reviews:
“I had a great experience with SUNTALK Solar. Elisa R. took the time to walk me through the solar install process and helped my explore my options. The team was extremely helpful and focused on the outcome I wanted. I would be happy to recommend SUNTALK to anyone.” – foleynj ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 18, 2024
“Fantastic communication from start to finish. Every element was easy for me and my family. I always thought converting to solar would be hard, but Suntalk made it easy. We worked with Gabe and he was very responsive and helpful. Suntalk delivered on what was promised and then some!” – nickie.global ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 16, 2024
Negative reviews:
“I was truly disappointed by the lack of professionalism exhibited by every branch of this company. From the owner to account managers to the install crews no one has respect for your home, your time, or this investment. The electrician literally cut wires and stuck them in the wall, faking his job, but he’s still employed so hope he doesn’t do it to you too!” – scottyahanson ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 9, 2023
“they do not return calls for repair, have called three times. nothing!” – dvg1947 ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ August 22, 2019
Positive reviews:
“I was hesitant to get solar because of pushy sales people and a general lack of common knowledge and the word of others who have had negative experiences. They didn’t know Miles. Before he even sat down with us he did some general pre qualification. We had open roof areas with no tree coverage. We had really high electric bills. There was a very no pressure meeting and the math made a lot of sense for us. The install process was seamless and fast! Within a couple of months we were generating more electricity and banking for summer months. Great investment!” – Amanda Maughmer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 27, 2025
“If you haven’t gotten solar yet… First, what are you waiting for? Second, Miles is the best guy to help you out with this. Miles with Upslope Solar is FANTASTIC! He was very responsive and not pushy in any way which I really appreciated since that has been our experience with other solar companies. He really took the time to explain everything thoroughly and break it down so it was easy to understand. Not only is he great as his job but he is just a great person in general and you will be happy that you took the time to meet with him. The team who came by to install our solar panels were fast and efficient. I was pleased with how everything went and they walked us through the app to track our solar usage and energy.” – Shae Pizzulo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 27, 2025
Negative reviews:
“I have had these panels for a year now. Since the very beginning of them being put in I’ve had problems with one of my panels extremely under performing. After multiple calls and multiple promises they still have not come out to fix it and I’ve been losing power that it’s supposed to be generating for a year now. I’m very annoyed because they want your business but they do not want to fix anything after they get your money. It would be nice if they stepped up and fixed the panel that is supposed to be repaired a year ago and compensation for all the power I have not generated due to the damage panel. But have not had any luck actually getting them out to the property to have it repaired. It’s just a bunch of empty promises from customer service.” – Dan ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 3, 2023
“Absolute incompetence, communication has been nonexistent to incorrect throughout the entire process. We’ve been at this for months with no ETA (at least not an ETA that has been communicated to us) as to when the system will be online, not to mention unresolved issues with property they damaged during the installation.” – lm ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 4, 2023
Positive reviews:
“I had an excellent experience working with Jason in the Service Department at Suntalk Solar. He was knowledgeable, patient, and went above and beyond to resolve my issue as quickly as possible. In addition, his customer service is OUTSTANDING, he was very personable, kind, caring and calming. Jason took the time to explain everything clearly and made what could have been super stressful situation, stress-free. It’s rare to find such genuine professionalism and care these days–thank you, Jason, for your outstanding support!I highly recommend Suntalk Solar, especially thanks to their amazing team members like Jason.” – Debbie M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 4, 2025
“Suntalk Solar is a top notch choice for a solar only or solar+battery installation. Suntalk has been in business for decades locally. They just did a detach and reset project for a friend of mine during her re-roof process in Aurora, CO. She mentioned special thanks to Denby at the office, who coordinated the project with her roofer seamlessly.” – Miles S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 13, 2025
Negative reviews:
“When installing, they cut the bathroom vent lines and left them to vent into attic, instead of re-routing to another part of the roof. It took $6800 emergency call in the winter to make the condensed air stop raining through the ceiling from the attic.Later, when the sun roof stopped working, they demanded a $300 deposit before they would even talk to me about scheduling an appointment.” – Oleg S. ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 18, 2024
“I do not recommend this company to anyone. I purchased my solar panels from SunTalk Solar about six years ago and my inverter went bad. This should not happen so I contacted the company regarding the matter. I explained to them that my system had stopped working and they told me that I would have to pay them to have a technician come out. I agreed to pay a deposit with the understanding that it would be refunded if the issue turned out to be under warranty. It turns out that the inverter is covered under warranty; however, they told me that my deposit wouldn’t be refunded. This company is shady and if you are smart you would avoid them at all cost. They do not take care of their customers and are only in it for the money.” – Ryan K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ June 15, 2023
Positive reviews:
“I was recently talking with my solar salesperson, Miles REMOVED, about how we are liking our system. The truth is that we wouldnt be happier with the 8.8kw Qcells system that hed provided to us. SunTalk moved quickly and had the entire installation completed in two days. I was very impressed by their customer service team, too. Our system takes care of our home and both of our electric vehicles. Thank you Miles and SunTalk! We absolutely love our system.” – JOSEPH T ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 11, 2025
“We had Suntalk Solar install a system on our first home in 2017 and then again recently in May 2025 for our new mountain home we live in. This transaction went through smoothly and we are excited to monitor our system as it offsets a chunk of our energy usage month to month in our all electric home with baseboard heating. Special thanks to the installers for communicating clearly and doing a fantastic job. Miles was our sales REMOVEDin 2017 and 2025. Thanks Suntalk!” – Debra R ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 3, 2025
Negative reviews:
“I have not been happy with the lack of service or communication with this company. I had to get my roof replaced due to hail damage. The field supervisor for the roofing company has experienced many delays in getting responses from them to schedule the panel removal and now that the roof has been replaced, it’s been over a week of sending emails and making calls but no one is returning emails or calls. I cannot get through to the operator when calling the business line. In the meantime, we cannot get the city inspector to come out until they complete their tasks. So now, we are without solar for about a month and I will have to pay extra for electrial during this time while still making our payment to SunTalk. It seems the only way to get a response from this company is to write a poor review. I hope they are willing to contact me as quickly as possible but so far, not getting any response is very disconcerting.” – Kate P ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 27, 2023
“Ive been working with suntalk solar for 7 months to get my solar installed, the team is not very accessible and leaves a lot to be desired with communication and transparency. The install team was rushed and sloppy, the electrician employed by the company disguised the install of my ground wire, cut both ends and stuck it in the ceiling making it look like it was run through. I do not recommend suntalk solar or suntalk electrical!” – scott h ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 3, 2023
Positive reviews:
“Worked for them for just under 3 years. They are great steady work with decent pay. I only wish I still worked for them but was fired twice for calling off to much. Solar is hard work and they expect you there everyday the jobs are easy and the crews are diverse.” – Lead Installer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 15, 2025
“A typical day at work could anywhere between 8 to 13 hours or so. I learned a lot between troubleshooting systems and installing them. I know how to do any servicing necessary for solar systems.” – Solar Electrical Apprentice ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 23, 2017
Negative reviews:
“They will lie to you about how much work and opportunities they have for you and then just lay you off when things get slow. This is the Dunder Mifflin of Solar and Electrical Companies. Also won’t give you you electrical hours they promise you after you are terminated.” – Lead Solar Field Technician/Apprentice Electrician ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 4, 2020
Positive reviews:
“The process of purchasing our solar system went very smoothly; from the sales pitch to the installation. Elisa was our project manager and couldn’t have been more helpful and professional. The projected timetable for completing the project was more than met, assuring that would be entitled to the expiring federal tax credit. Everyone involved, including the electrician and installers, were great.” – Richard Simon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025
“I had the experiencing of inheriting a SunTalk-installed solar system on a home purchase. Their support team, especially Jason, were incredibly helpful in the transition. Highly recommend SunTalk and am looking forward to future projects with them!” – Henry Oddi ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2025
Negative reviews:
“I’m sorry to say this, but don’t use SunTalk Solar. Their response to service calls is completely unprofessional and borderline fraudulent. The company charged us $300.00 for a service call, which never happened because the tech realized he didn’t have the right equipment on his truck, so he didn’t came to our house. They still charged us the $300.00, but assured us that this would be applied to the service appointment when it was made. The tech came out a month later, fixed the malfunctioning panel, and left. To our surprise, we received an invoice for another $300.00! When we called, the rude receptionist told us that the tech had to “”log”” the call and order the part, so they charged us anyway for the initial service call.We will find another company if we ever have to have our panels serviced again. You think solar panels are expensive? Wait until you have to repair one through SunTalk Solar.” – Bonnie Ramthun ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
“Because Sunnova (who of course went into bankruptcy) and this company who installed our solar panels keep giving me the run around after 6months and I’m done. They keep pointing the finger at each other but to me it shows incompetence on both parts! My solar panels are managed by Sunnova now SunStrong and were contracted to be installed by this company. And NOBODY thought hmmm maybe this houses solar panels shouldn’t impede on to the neighbors roof! And because we live in Colorado where hail bad enough happens that it could cause a roof to be replaced, maybe we shouldn’t install them this way. So every time my neighbor gets there roof replaced MY solar panels have to be removed(the last time without my permission of course) going weeks without solar. Mind you the panels were included with the home when we bought it yet out of the 50+ paired homes in our complex ours of course is the only one with our panels installed where they impede onto the neighbors roof! I’m done with the run around and the unanswered phones calls. Be cautious when using this company to do solar work for you, be cautious working with companies that have contracted this company to do solar work. Be cautious of EVERY solar company because they’ll likely go out of business in a couple years and you’ll be in my position where nobody honors anything and you’re SOL.” – Todd Tate ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 9, 2026
