What Do Customers Say About the Stitt Solar?

Positive reviews:

“I have had my Stitt solar system for a few months. My electric bill is now $13 a month. It supplies electricity to my house, 30×50 garage and my EV vehicle. I have a KW credit with my electric company. This is great! You have an APP that you can monitor your system. If you have any questions Stitt solar group helps all the way through. You don’t pay until it is up and charging. Great company! Yes I can’t say enough positive about the complete process. Thanks Stitt solar!!” – Don M ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 25, 2025

“From the moment I decided to enter into an agreement, until sign off on the project, I could not have been happier. I had researched many solar installers, national and local. Stitt, hands down is the solar installer you want. They kept me updated on where we were in the process and even worked with me on site clean up details. Truly a professional and customer-oriented business. HIGHLY recommend you talk to them about solar!” – Dan Meek ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 14, 2022

Positive reviews:

“When we started planning our retirement dream home…we wanted to build an energy efficient home that would fit in with our surroundings…we had a beautiful piece of land in Missouri which backs up to a clear creek. We wanted a design that would accommodate the 2 of us most of the time…but be able to handle our kids, grandkids and guests for extended visits. From the moment we met with the Stitt team we felt like we were working with professionals that could provide us with exactly what we wanted. Their experience speaks volumes. If you’re not sure what you want, they will talk you through everything and give you tons of options. We’ve been in our house for 10 months and at least once a week we say ‘I can’t believe this is our house!’ Our house is beautiful, our electric bills have been cut in half and now we are a ‘Destination’! Couldn’t be happier.” – Cathy D. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 12, 2014

Negative reviews:

“I contacted them on June 17th. They did not respond until July first. The response was pay us a $3,500 retainer and we will charge against that hourly. With no discussion of total cost. No lets talk about your needs first. Other people in the field locally are visiting our homesite and discussing our needs before giving us a quote.” – Konrad H. ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 1, 2013

“Over priced. No customer service. Wired my whole system wrong and it didn’t work – they just didn’t care.” – Chad G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 7, 2025

Positive reviews:

“It went absolutely perfectly. They were clean, neat and performed the work on time. If anything was wrong they came back to fix it perfectly. They were very nice to work with. They were the best contractors I’ve ever worked with.” – Nancy S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 2010

Negative reviews:

“It’s a little embarrassing to discuss our experience with Sitt Energy Systems Incorporated of Rogers, Arkansas, because we feel as if they took advantage of us. However, we feel obligated to warn others about the dangers of cost-plus contracts and arbitration clauses. We also would not recommend Sitt Energy Systems Incorporated (SESI) for any home construction project, because of our problems and they way the chose to address them. So if you are considering building an energy efficient home, our recommendation would be to avoid Stitt Energy Systems. Their contract clearly states they are not homebuilders, so they depend on local contractors or subcontractors, which was another problem for us. Stitt’s sales pitch said that cost-plus billing methods ‘shares the risk;’ but we have trouble understanding who shared the risk on our project, besides us and our lender. Cost-plus contracts provide very little incentive to control costs, because their profit is directly dependent on how much they spend on the project. In fact, a lot of their administrative costs were difficult to understand or verify. Then to add insult to injury, the Stitt contract made it impractical and expensive for us to seek resolution because it contained a binding arbitration clause, which would force us to travel to Arkansas. We had a terrible time communicating with their employees and tremendous difficulty getting project updates or construction schedule information. A lot of the administrative costs were for project management, yet the main job of monitoring the project progress and getting materials delivered in a timely way were the big problem and the cause of many of the project delays. Throughout the construction process, we had trouble determining the construction schedule, struggled with work stoppages because materials were not available, and failed to get clear and timely written updates on project costs. Bottom Line: Don’t make the same mistake we did! Get firm pricing and a construction schedule in writing before signing any contract. Avoid signing a cost-plus contract for home construction; since homeowner bears the risks (even if the contractor’s estimate is wrong!) and the contractor has very little incentive to operate efficiently. Also avoid signing a contract that includes a binding arbitration clause, because you loose your right to take the contractor to court if something goes wrong.” – Billy N. ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 2011

Positive reviews:

“We have used Stitt Solar twice. The first time was to have solar panels installed, and more recently, we added a backup battery to our system. Through all of the transactions, the Stitt team kept us informed as we waited for various approvals and then worked with us to schedule installations at a time that was convenient for us while also meeting our desired timeline. They also offered a no-obligation referral to a lender to help fund the cost of the system.” – Howard Moyes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 13, 2026

“Stitt Solar is by far the best residential solar company I have ever used. This was my 3rd solar system (first time working with Stitt) and they provided an unmatched level of service. Pricing is very good. Install team very friendly and courteous. Management very responsive and customer focused. The speed from initial quote to having solar turned on at my house was 2-4 times faster than expected. 100% recommend.” – Joe Eibes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025

Negative reviews:

“You know. A few years ago when I had my solar system installed, I posted a 5-star review for Stitt Solar. I was proud to support a local company and had a generally positive experience through the install. However, service after the sale leaves a lot to be desired.Last summer I had a line of panels go offline due to shotty workmanship and the only way it got fixed without a sizable service charge was to file a complaint with the owner. Now this summer a panel cracked from an overtightened bolt and I’m being told to claim it through my homeowners insurance because they are refusing to cover it under their warranty. Stay away from Stitt. I’ll be filing an additional complaint with the Better Business Bureau.” – Donnie Roush ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 2025

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. As to free consult…NON,-EXISTANT…40k later after ordering and installing solar panels. To complete hooking off grid, they want almost $900.00 to come 33 miles to look?” – DD max ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024
