What do Customers Say about the Northwest Electric and Solar LLC?
Positive reviews:
“I contacted Northwest Electric and Solar for home solar panels based on a friend’s recommendation. I was not disappointed- the turnaround time between when I initially emailed them and when my panels were installed and producing energy was barely a month. Fast, reasonably priced, and very conscientious.” – abigail.mccarthy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 10, 2023
“I am extremely happy with NW Electric and Solar! They provided a clear quote with explanation of the options, and the work was done on schedule and without any strange quirks or upcharges. Very happy with the results all around.” – wolfgangbaur ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 10, 2023
Positive reviews:
“Northwest was great. From the very start, very professional quick communication about the quote. Sent them photos of the breaker box and area and they got back to me very quickly. Ari came out on time and got everything set up and installed within an hour. Very happy with the process from start to finish!” – Thomas .. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 2, 2024
“We had this company to change the electrical service panel, install the EV charger and replace the mast on the roof. They are an absolutely fantastic team, with good management. The main manager Derek and the project manager Jacob are fantastic, with responsibility and being on time to finish the project. Jacob tried several times to have a connection with PSE for an early appointment and finally he succeeded. We are very grateful to know them and the price was reasonable and the quality of work is amazing. We were lucky to work with them.” – Sophie And Andy A. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 10, 2024
Negative reviews:
“Update 5/9 – just to clarify since one of the business owners replied. The work wasn’t in April, it was started in the past by Northwest Electric and Solar and then the electricians that were sent couldn’t handle the work. I just had the time to write a review after dealing with the work they caused. Three different people came through who did a “very poor job across the board” and put according to a new electrician. I also want to add that NW Electric and Solar didn’t catch that several switches and lights/fans were incompatible so we have to replace several hundred dollars worth of items, not to mention the drywall fixes that will come from it.” – See C. ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 9, 2022
“In response to the comment–in addition to investigating the burning smell we asked for a quote to install bathroom fans. Never heard a response and my husband was following up before seeing the charge for this visit. Similar to not knowing what the charge was for the visit (until we noticed it on our credit card statement a week ago) we never did get the quote. Needless to say not interested in contacting this place again.” – Tani S. ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 27, 2017
Positive reviews:
“It went very well. I had a plumber there from a different company as the time was short and they worked together beautifully. It was done during a super busy time this summer but both companies, In House Electric and Apollo plumbing did a great job very quickly.” – Penny P. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 2016
“Everything went great; the office contacted me immediately and scheduled the service. I wasn’t sure if I wanted 6 or 10 circuit, so they arrived with both. I opted for 6 circuit. He installed everything, looked good. I didn’t have cable to test while he was there. The following weekend I turned off the power, and hooked up the generator and flipped power on all 6 circuits. Everything was working, and also balanced (important) between each side. Running every light, fan, furnace,TV, etc. I was only running about 2000 watts total, which was a bit surprising. I am looking forward to the power going out (only for a day or so! ), ha ha! Thanks Northwest Electric and Solar.” – Curt H. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 2015
Negative reviews:
“Worst Experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. I’m a year after they finished and plugs are falling out of the wall when I unplug things. My basement flooded as a result of them not rewiring the plug for the sump pump to the right spot, then they plugged into the spot they WERE SUPPOSED to fix the outlet (so it didn’t have a GFCI reset button on the outlet) then they incorrectly marked the new panel for how to get power back on to it. There’s two outlets that haven’t worked since they did their job (but they;re in a part of the house they didn’t work on, so they claim they’re not responsible). They failed to rewire our porch light and blamed our builders for putting a nail through a wire, that was a blatant lie. The simplest things like a smurf tube they installed they failed to install an insert with a ******* hole in it so that I could pull a wire through it. They took zero responsibility for their work, even though one of their electricians told me point blank he was going to “work faster” so he could take a vacation early. Apparently his “work faster” just meant doing a **** job. Thanks for nothing NWE&S. Do not work with them unless you want to be left holding the bag to redo most of it.” – JJ G. ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 2022
“Overall, an OK result and I am relatively satisfied. The primary work was done completely and to code. There was decent initial communication when setting up the job, but there were details that were not handled as discussed and post-issue communication was minimal. A relatively major code issue was noticed after the job was about 1/2 complete and should have been obvious even during the initial quote visit. They addressed this issue without effecting the quoted price, but some details of the implementation were not done as agreed and required the homeowner to perform additional work and clean-up. Owner reached out to me once, but we never got to talk. They reduced the price a bit, but not enough to cover the additional work that was required to meet the agreed upon details.” – Pete H. ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ September 2017
Positive reviews:
“I had a fantastic experience with Northwest Electric & Solar! They recently installed my Tesla Wall Connector, and everything about the process was smooth, professional, and efficient. From the start, they offered me the best quote compared to other companies I contacted. Cam, the electrician, was excellent—punctual, knowledgeable, and very courteous. The installation was done cleanly and with great attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Highly recommend Northwest Electric & Solar for any EV charger installation or electrical work!” – Shane Ruangdet ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 2025
“This company has provided several services for me, installing solar panels on my roof several years ago and then installing an EV charger today. In both instances, the work looks sharp and everything functions well. Their prices are competitive, they work quickly, and they’re great at answering questions and ensuring customers are informed and satisfied. I have recommended them to friends who has also worked with them, and I intended to work with them in the future as needs arise.” – Nathan Rich ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 28, 2025
Negative reviews:
“I found Northwest Electric and Solar through Tesla’s website as a recommended solar installation provider. I was contacted by Theo Frare Davis, but despite replying to him within minutes, it took 5 days for him to send me a quote. When I asked for additional services, he would only reply days later each time. This slow response was extremely frustrating, especially since I made it clear I was serious about moving forward. I even told him to please take the matter seriously, but he just laughed. That told me all I needed to know about the kind of business this is.” – Alfred A Echeverria ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 2025
“Installation was straightforward, there were delays on our battery backup. The biggest problem, is their bookkeeping is terrible. We’ve paid everything and submitted all paperwork from our installation 3.5 years ago and we’re now getting threatening emails that we’ll be charged sales tax if we don’t sign documents that we’ve already completed and have sent back to them at least 3 different times.” – Paul Montgomery ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ February 2025
