“Estimate was 5k more than two other companies to do the same work. Salesman said because their products are superior. Also insisted he’d follow up with me in a few days. I asked him not to, that I needed time to evaluate but not only did he ignore this he left three messages by phone and email within 1 week as well as multiple calls with hang ups. Finally after replying I would not be choosing them I received another looong email from another person at the company. “Surprised reading some reviews online about fair pricing and fixing small leaks free of charge. very nice and prompt but I had them come out today to take a look at my solar panels for the pool. Two of the screws were coming out of the roof and i wasn’t sure if i needed a couple new brackets or straps. They came out and pushed both screws back into roof and sealed with some construction caulk. I had caulk at home myself, i thought it was something more needed. They charged me 145$ for 2 dollops of construction caulk. Was planning on using them in near future to replace panel straps and possibly entire system but with that business practice i think i will search elsewhere. very disappointed people out there wish to take advantage. wasn’t looking for anything free at all, i even asked what i owed them when we were heading off the roof. never in my wildest dreams was i thinking 145$ for 2$ of caulk.” – Islandlivn N. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ June 3, 2021

“I can’t say enough good things about this company. I didn’t realize that we needed to have have our solar panels removed due to roof repairs until the day the roofers showed up. I called Coast to Coast and explained my situation and Jeff rearranged his schedule to ensure someone was sent out that same day. Andrew is the person that came and he was so friendly and knowledgeable. He explained all of my options. Because of Jeff and Andrew we were able to move forward with our prior scheduled roof repairs. “Service call $105.00 just to come out. Upon arrival Andrew was very nice and advised that the panels were old but could be plugged and we would probably get a few more years out of them but our roof was in poor condition but the panels would outlive the roof. He repaired a number of leaks on different panels and indicated that it was fixed. That evening we noticed that there was water coming out of the gutter downspout. This was the thing we noticed first when we discovered the roof panels were leaking. We called and left a voicemail that the panels were still leaking after the repair which cost $105.00 service call plus the parts and labor of the repair in the amount of $69.00. Total cost $174.00. Received a call from the owner Monday morning in response to my call that the system was still leaking. The owner stated that the entire system needed to be replaced at a cost of $3500.00 We had already advised the repair tech that we could not afford to purchase new panels. The tech advised there was a 30 warranty on the repairs he did. The owner advised that due to the age of the panels, he would not honor the 30 day warranty. So we are out $174.00 and ended up with the same problem. The panels were made in 1998 according to the tech. “During the replacement of the panel, the newly installed shingles were damaged to the extent that the needed to be replaced. The temperature sensor was attached using a plastic wire tie which I replaced using a metal hose clamp as it was originally installed. “We had a pool heating system installed. (by another dealer) The installation was not up to par, and that dealer was not being helpful. With help from the manufacturer, they got me in contact with Coast to Coast. Two nice gentlemen came out today, reinstalled the 9 panels, and installed the proper Brackets needed to keep the panels from shifting on the roof. They did the job quickly and professionally, can’t say enough about how professional they were to me. And Melissa did a great job keeping me informed through emails. “I can tell you coast to coast is a solar company that will go up and beyond..if you have panels you know that sometimes issues arise .my situation was one of those I had a problem where I couldn’t get a response from my original company ..being out of state made my situation even more frustrating. “I would give less stars if possible. I called them out to do repairs on my pool solar panels that had some damage from Hurricane Milton. They appeared to perform the repair and gave me estimates for further work that may consider. I had them out to do more work and now just months from the hurricane damage the same loose clamps and broken strap are hanging. They refuse to make it right. Further more, I now have a roof leak from their work per licensed roofer and I have two burned out newer ceiling fans in my sunroof office that are ruined from the water intrusion from the loose screws and clamps they failed to fix. Gary the owner is rude and blames the homeowner for failures and claims I refused maintenance when I had them out to do just that in December. “Service has gone downhill earlier this year when some of their staff left (namely Scott and Bethany). They are not the same company they used to be. Much worse service and poorer quality on their solar installs. The owner, Gary, is rude and condescending and will blame you for everything they did wrong.
