Since we had not had a generator before, Butch to the time to instruct us on how it works, how it does everything automatically when the power goes out and he even programmed the exercise mode for us. “This is for anyone looking for a plumber. This company has technicians that are not trained to replace a thermal coupler in a hot water heater. My tech looked at my heater took a picture and went to truck for 30mins to review a You tube video. When he saw that I saw what he was doing . He said ‘ man to man I don’t really know how to replace this part so I review videos to figure it out. He didn’t bring parts to fix it even thoughi told them what was not working. After fumbling with the heater for two hours with parts that weren’t made for this heater he sealed it up with my old parts and then tried to light the pilot. They gave me a very competitive quote after i sent them photos of my electrical box and how far it is from my garage. They then sent an on-site electrician to get the final estimate locked in before scheduling the job.The day of the job two electricians showed up, they professionally installed the tesla charger in about 4 hours time. “I made a claim through my insurance and listed 3 items that’s needed to be address and to milk the insurance company they came out 2 separate times and fixed one item each time. After the 2nd visit they made me file another claim to fix the 3rd item and pay the insurance deductible a second time. Definitely doing some shady stuff. “I have used MD in the past and it was great, they have now merged with Urban Design and pricing has changed. Apparently you have to pay for when they aren’t even at your house and go back to their site to pick up a part… A part that they probably should have had on hand to fix a faucet. Ridiculous.To respond to the owner, my disgust is with your practice. You think $220 makes sense to change a simple faucet filter??? Charged 1.5 hours of labor, not because they were working for 1.5 to change the filter, but because your person didn’t have a filter on hand…even though he was told it was a faucet leak. So you think it’s reasonable to charge labor when they leave and get one from the site? Customers getting a bad deal the further from your site they live? I’m not even sure it was 1.5hr even with the extra travel, but silly me for not setting a running timer. This feels like an intentional money grab. We weren’t even told there was an additional bill coming in the mail after we had already paid $130.
