John came two days later and did an excellent job installing the fixture and making sure it was perfect. He put down plastic sheeting and made sure everything was back in place before he left. “They came to upgrade my electrical panel and upgraded everything to code, however broke the dryer vent in the process. When I called, I was told I would get a call back — no one did. Two wires were left on the outside of my house wrapped in a trash bag. Another electrician told me these wires were for Pepco to connect, and Got Electric had never called Pepco to finish the job. “I hired the company because they assured me the work would cost $400 to $600. I pressed Jimmy on his estimate given that I had received other estimates of $1,000 or more for the same work — he very definitely stated he stood by it. When the work was finished, he charged me $2,400. I agreed to pay $1,800 based on Jimmy’s promise to make it up to me the next time I needed electrical work. “I hired Got Electric to install an outlet and a switch, with an appointment scheduled for 7:30am. I waited from 7am to 8am with no contact. I tried calling multiple times and got no answer. I was eventually told the electrician had shown up at 7:30am but said no one answered the door or phone — I have two working doorbells and never heard them, and my call log shows no incoming calls at that time. When I finally reached the manager, he said he would not ask the electrician to provide proof of the call and stated they did not need my business.
