“I purchased a 24-panel system including a SunVault storage system for over $45,000. A 1–4 day installation turned into a month-long process. They submitted applications incorrectly to the utility company and coordination was poor. Currently, 12 out of my 24 panels do not work and there are also issues with the battery — neither has been resolved. I regret this purchase and would advise against working with this company. Our salesman estimated our needs without the recommended 3–6 months of utility bills. When asked what would happen if after one year we were using more than estimated, we were told not to worry — they’d make it right. Their version of making it right is to sell you more panels. “I paid a refundable deposit more than 7 weeks ago and each time I contact someone to get the status of the refund, I get a different response — it can be mailed or delivered by your salesperson, the person who needs to sign is out of the office, have you checked your bank account, I will check with my supervisor tomorrow. At no point has anyone proactively contacted me regarding the refund. I have called or emailed weekly trying to get someone to process the money owed. “Absolutely ridiculous customer service. A guy by name Nate W knocked on my door and started talking about the AEC Solar but lacked knowledge about solar and when I asked some questions, he got upset and started acting unprofessionally and when I asked him to leave my premises, he got more upset an started using profanity. Seems like he was just a temporary worker, based on his attitude and response. I would not recommend this guy or company to anyone looking for solar. There are a lot more options in the market.
