“The entire team I worked with for my solar installation was excellent from beginning to end. Gregory Raffa came to my home multiple times on short notice to review the plans for the project and a month after installation to be sure everything went as planned. He was quite knowledgeable and friendly. Ian Clifford as project engineer was again quite knowledgeable and shares the passion for their work that permeates this company. Richie Bonney fielded the many questions I had before signing on to the project. The installation happened at the time quoted and again this team was professional and did an excellent job. Any time I emailed them with a question they got back to me within hours. I live on the North Shore of Boston. “I contacted them about solar and then decided it wasn’t right for me at the time. After that, they called my phone every day — sometimes twice a day — for three years. I blocked the number on my iPhone, replaced the phone with an Android and the calls reappeared, then put a hard block via Verizon. “Solaris solicited us to add two more Tesla batteries to our existing system and we gave them a $12,000 deposit. A year of following up ensued before we learned the batteries were never actually forthcoming, and we still have not been reimbursed despite multiple follow-ups. “We were ghosted by Solaris after paying a $500 consultation fee. Their estimate came back claiming they could achieve over 100% of our power needs using only one side of the roof — far exceeding the ~75% other companies quoted. When the consultation came, we were told the original estimate was completely wrong and we would need to cut down trees and use every roof surface for ~75% — the same as everyone else quoted.
