“My old tank water heater started leaking and needed replacement. Jameson from Eco came, gave me an estimate for the updates needed to switch to tankless water heater and patiently explained the process and answered my questions. We (and Jameson’s manager) were able to negotiate on what I considered a fair price and Jameson worked until 8pm or so until the work was completed and I had hot water again.All in all, I’m very happy with the customer service. They never came the day of, and rescheduled at least 4 different times, before completely cancelled the appointment. “We called Eco Electric to add a new outlet and circuit as well as to diagnose and fix a banging sound coming from out hot water heater. They set both appointments for the next day from 1-3. We received a text at 2 with them having to reschedule both. The following week we rescheduled with them for a Friday only to have them cancel the plumbing and the electrical got a quote with a promise to come back the following week to install. They scheduled the plumbing for Monday, cancelled it again. Here we are on Wed they were supposed to be here between 1 and 3 and the cancelled the plumbing again. “Their most significant selling points were family-like culture and privately providing criticism (at least negative ones). They lead you to believe that you would never get yelled at publicly as their employee. That was a load of lies. Favoritism 100% exists, you see it the moment you are introduced to the team, it’s in the office space, out on the field. And because they emphasize that receiving and giving critical feedback went both ways, I assumed it was safe to do so. I was wrong. Lack of accountability within the leadership exists and will come with, ‘give us some grace’ while you are expected to take the blows in front of the team. And if you dare provide any kind of feedback to your direct manager, they will use their relationship within the leadership team against you and will let you know you do not have a voice. This is a place where you are only to receive feedback, and don’t you dare give any kind of feedback to anyone in the leadership team. Its your word against theirs. “I would absolutely not recommend Eco Electric Company. It took them nearly a month just to install a furnace — a job that should’ve been done in a few days. Their troubleshooting skills are seriously lacking, and I paid the price for it. Initially, they charged me $4,500 just to ‘level’ the old furnace, claiming that would fix the issue. It didn’t. After wasting all that time and money, they came back and told me the furnace actually needed to be replaced — and asked for another $5,500 to do it. In total, I ended up paying $10,000 just to replace one furnace, all because they couldn’t properly diagnose the problem from the start. Completely unprofessional and frustrating experience. “Eco arrived on time, but after an hour and 300 dollars I was left with a bigger mess than we started out with. When the representative told me what the problem was I asked what the resolution was and asked for a quotation. I was given a verbal quote for 1800 dollars and questioned it as it seemed really high for a few hours work. After less than three minute the price was revised to 800 dollars. The representative explain he had no more time for me that day and left after presenting a bill for services performed that hour for 300 dollars. I never received a hard quote via email or in the mail. After further work the problem I discovered the real problem and handled it in about an hour with less than 20 dollars of materials. “I was not impressed with Eco electric. I recommended them to my mother, who is a senior citizens. All I wanted them to do is inspect her furnace and just let her know what needed to be done. The Service Tech told her what was wrong with her furnace and he gave her the full court press by telling her that she needs a new furnace 5 times. He tried to sell her their most expensive furnace and A/C unit for over 20k. All he needed to do is tell her once and let her decide or get another opinion. She was not happy with the service tech.I am sure that Eco Electric is good enough for commercial businesses but they are not for the residential homeowner.
