Polar Racking Launches Solar Asset Management Division
Polar Racking is launching its Solar Asset Management Division, a specialized operations and maintenance (O&M) service for utility-scale and commercial projects. The division offers field and remote assistance across North America and the Caribbean, including projects in the United States, Canada, and island markets.
Addressing Performance Deterioration Issues
With solar portfolios expanding, asset owners throughout the sector are suffering from performance deterioration such as tracker misalignment, field-aging hardware, and communication problems.
Comprehensive Field and Remote Monitoring Services
Polar Racking’s Solar Asset Management Division will conduct field inspections and mechanical evaluations, including alignment checks and structural integrity assessments, to identify issues before they affect energy output. It will also have remote monitoring and control diagnostics to discover issues in tracking logic, network performance, and system responsiveness. The division’s provision of continuing assistance and direct access to Polar’s field crew for performance maintenance backs up regular service visits. Polar will also provide training programs for asset management teams and will provide monthly performance reports for projects.
“We have installed racking and tracking systems in hundreds of sites in some of the most demanding environments in North America for years in the field. We know what happens to these assets over time, and we know what asset owners need to protect their returns,”
said Sam Alradhi, VP of operations at Polar Racking.
“We built this division because of what our customers were asking for: a single trusted partner to support them from day one through the life of the project.”
