“I have a 20 panel $27k system installed last year that was designed to eliminate my electric bill. In the summer, I am still receiving NV Energy bills $70 over the connection fee. 1Solar recommended installing 6 additional panels for a cash cost of $1,098 per panel. The cost of the equipment is $350 per panel in a retail setting, not wholesale. There was no negotiating a fair price and the salesman stood me up two days in a row. So much for the ‘energy guarantee’ and promised outstanding customer service! Also, the pigeon guard they installed was not pigeon guard but hardware cloth. “I paid their salesman 50% of the cost of the project which I thought was to expensive a week later their salesman told me the contract was canceled and signed me up with a different company The next week 1 solar can by and started the instillation even though I had a contract with Sunpower. They had to come back three times to get the job completed after 5 months and 2 months after the system was turned on it has produced zero power. The salesman did not pay them any of the 50% i gave him so they threatened to sue me for what I gave him and I have not got the 30 year warranty I was promised. One reason my system may not have created any power is I live in Colorado and the panels are covered with snow. “My name is Jeneen Miller. I’m a firm believer in solar, but I didn’t see any sense in buying the equipment in case it broke down or it needed upgrading. When I found out the narrative is different and we pay for service as opposed to purchasing equipment(although an option), I was all for it! Each case is different because of square footage, but I’m only paying $91 a month and that is allotted for a Jacuzzi. I own a house. AJ Massey has been very helpful and informative — educating me on the latest services in going green. He is extremely thorough, punctual and professional. “Installed four years ago. Everything went well during install. Took two or three months to get everything going. Paid for the panels up front so I only have to pay NV Energy to be on the grid. At first it was $12 a month, now it’s $19. Two months out of the year (Jan and Dec) I don’t produce enough to cover what I’m using so I usually have a bill for those two months. “To put it mildly, this company is atrocious. From beginning to present, this has been an absolute nightmare. Installation appointments were cancelled without notice on three separate occasions, proper equipment to access my roof was not obtained. The owners of the company were emailing me daily, and they ultimately paid for my utility bills for 3+ months.Fast forward to present, my system has been down for almost a month and I still don’t have a repair technician scheduled. Customer service told me I’d have to wait to hear from their repair teams to setup an appointment and that was 14 days ago. I sat on hold for customer service today for nearly an hour before the call disconnected and I wasn’t even able to reach somebody.They charge far too much for their systems and their ability to provide even decent service is non-existent. I did have a power bill during the summer time but i just paid my power bill this month and its half of what it is. I am excited to get my bill down to the $13! The installation team was great but my sales representative made my experience very personal. He is very informed and I felt safe going through this process. The sales rep had knocked on my front door and I was. very uncomfortable. After a longer conversation I decided to let him in and signing up made the most sense. “Do not use the company they are dishonest in every aspect. They refuse to honor the terms in their contract and the only means of enforcement are insanely expensive. 1Solar was found in breach of the Residential Solar Act and were heavily fined. They lied and blamed the utility for the hold up in processing (we have proof they submitted the paperwork incorrectly several times). They lied about panel production expectations. They lied about the terms of the contract. “When the additional panels were presented to me, I was told they would produce enough power to eliminate my APS bill and I should receive a credit at the end of the year for around $300.I never received a copy of the actual contract until I requested it from Sunnova the contract holder, I had signed it on his device and only ever received disclosures. Now reading it I see I had 7 days to change my mind. Not only do I now have 2 solar leases, but I still receive an APS bill for nearly what it used to be. After chatting with APS I was told I ‘had’ been locked into a by-back rate with my original panels, another thing I was not told it that adding more panels reduced my by-back rate so although I’m sellling APS more power, they are paying me less for it, so it was a total and complete waste of time and money to install additional panels. All of this should have been disclosed to me and thus far I’m unable to locate any of it in the contract even.I specifically asked what happened if I received an APS bill, I was to send it to them and it would be taken care of.It was all a bunch of BS that I’ll now be paying for, for a long time to come.” – Rob M ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 6, 2024

“Absolutely love our system! The power went out one night and the only way we knew was the oven wasn’t working, everything else was fine. We were really confused since it is a pretty new oven. Just happened to get on Social Media and discovered that a fire had taken out the power over several cities!! We quickly shut down all non essentials to save battery since we didn’t know how long the power would be out. So grateful for this system.1Solar has been great to, work with and is always available to answer questions. Shout out to Connor Child, he made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to explain any delays or changes (do to the power company). “Worst experience ever. Inexperienced install crew. Installed the brackets in the wrong location more than once. Removed, and relocated the brackets without sealing screw holes from the previous locations. The panels spent more time in my garage than on my roof due to failed inspections. We are coming up on a year since we’ve started this process, and still we are paying Excel bill. No panels. I had to find all of this out during a rain storm when I woke to water pouring out of my hallway light. To top it off. “We hired 1 solar to do our solar, they installed the solar and it worked fine, but they destroyed our roof, they didn’t follow any of the installations standards, they used the wrong sealers, they placed the brackets in incorrectly and now we have a $50,000 repair, when I called customer service they sent us to a call center overseas, and said they will not help in any way and to sue them if we choose. So we will. I will attach photos so you will see Im not just an angry ranting customer, I am reasonable when the companies are, but they choose to duck from obligations and damages.
