“I decided to go with Apex Solar because my sister had them install her system and she had nothing but great things to say about them. Apex Solar was thorough in answering all of my questions and redesigning the system to my liking. They were prompt in responding to any of my texts, emails, or calls. My project was a bit tricky. We were renovating our house and putting on addition which had many bumps in the road and delays but Apex Solar was very flexible throughout the entire process. “You’ll be happy with them unless you have any issues with your install. We’ve had our system for about 2.5 years and it’s produced significantly less electricity than estimated. Despite a production guarantee in the contract it’s been impossible to get them to provide ANY of the specified remedies. In fact, it’s hard enough just to get someone to return a call or email. I have had my Apex installed solar for almost 10 years with no hiccups. I pay $17/month for National Grid to process my solar energy, and I have a plug-in hybrid car and a charger attached to my garage. Apex has been responsive every single time I have contacted them with questions about service and even my recent house renovation. Apex has disconnected my solar system so I can have my house sided, and they will re-connect it when the renovation is complete. “My roof asphalt shingles need replacement after just 15 years. I contacted Apex for a quote to remove the panels and then replace after new roof is on. Myself and everyone I talked to figured $4-5k for a reasonable price. The quote they gave me was $21k+. Does anyone besides me feel this is insane? Everyone does. They basically take the money and RUN. They either DON’T want your business or figure they got you by the balls and you have to pay it.Heads up people. The ONLY thing they’re getting from me is this review. If you ever plan on getting a solar system on your roof consider this and LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. Or get your system on posts.
