“Wow! What a disappointment! Sandy was going to come over, and I wanted to tell her about something that happened to us recently. On the day of the first meeting, she called to cancel because she had to take care of personal matters. We were upset that she had to cancel at the last minute, but we decided to give her a chance and rescheduling for the next day. We sent emails and texts to confirm the appointment, and we even sent another email 45 minutes before the time of the meeting. But when she was 30 minutes late, we texted and called to ask when she would be there. To our surprise, the response we received was that she needed to reschedule again due to personal reasons… really? This was after confirming the appointment just minutes earlier! “Most importantly solar Sandy is just another salesman, period! If you speak to her in person, RECORD EVERYTHING!!! After the sale she does nothing, a subcontractor does everything after that. I’m pushing to get my elderly mothers house fixed, with numerous electrical problems due to the fact it was all done on the cheep. The system has been down for 3 out of 9 months, due to small fires in the electric panel, pool pump left without a breaker, drywall damage from hole’s in the roof left unsealed and a 4 month drywall repair that looks like it was done by a 10 year old child,ect ect ect. I have been in construction for over 35 years and rarely do you have so many issues with a installation on any home. So for those of you that that made the same mistake, one of the best ways to let the subcontractor and a professional liar (Sandy)know you are serious it to ask the registrar of contractors for a courtesy inspection. “So, I heard their ad on the radio and thought I would try and see what they could offer. I completed the information on their website, and in the section I could make a request I asked for an email with the information they came up so I could review and prepare when they called and went over my quote. Never received anything back. A person called back within a couple of days to schedule a video conference to go over the quote the had. I asked for the quote to be emailed so I could review and prepare for the meeting. Still, no quote. The day before the meeting I received a call to tell me they would need to reschedule the meeting, which I understand that things come up. I didn’t know when I had free time for the meeting so they said they would call in a couple of days. Two weeks later they called back. I told them I never received the quote, they are now calling after two weeks to reschedule, so I wasn’t interested. “Solar Sandy exemplifies the phrase ‘Service after the sale’. Sandy installed our solar system about 5 years ago, and we have been saving hundreds of dollars on our electric bills ever since. Recently our system stopped working. I called Solar Sandy and not only did they answer the phone immediately, Sandy herself took my call. She quickly dispatched a tech to my home, and it was determined that the inverter had failed. Thanks to the 25 year inverter warranty that Sandy includes with all her installs, the inverter was replaced for just a small ($400) install fee. Our system is back up and saving hundreds again. In this day when you see so many horror stories on the news about people and their solar systems, it is great to know that at least one company still believes in service after the sale.
