I met with more than one company and after comparing everything I was told and following up with some of my own research, I went with ATX Solar with all the confidence in the world. Caleb Spencer was my salesman. He’s also cofounder, co-owner, and is super knowledgeable. He is so dedicated to everything this company does. He was able to correct some of the information I was provided by others and all of it was backed up by my research. This company is a one-stop shop for solar. The only thing the employees of this company don’t do is build your panels and necessary components. They have ATX Solar employees who are your engineers, installers and they keep you informed. No third party installers! They pull permits, make sure things are inspected, set you up with the company that will receive and deliver your energy. They do so much and they care about their customers. I could go on and on but I won’t. BUT, if that’s not enough, this company and all its employees are involved in the community and Texas. “I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by ATX Solar regarding my solar system. My micro-inverters have been consistently offline and unresponsive, and despite repeated attempts to reach out for assistance, it has taken weeks—sometimes months—for anyone to come out and assess the situation. As of now, I am still waiting for a meaningful update. In the meantime, I am forced to continue paying my electric bill as if I never had solar panels, while also covering the cost of the solar system itself. I have contacted the company multiple times via email and even had a conversation with an Enphase representative. “No base pay, no benefits. Knocking on doors to sell solar to people who have turned down 5+ other solar salespeople sucks. If you want to be successful you’ve got to knock after 5 P.M., so while the hours aren’t bad, the timing sucks. Commission is good and uncapped but good luck hitting goals. You start out unpaid for a week of training, then your first month is $10/hr + $100 per appointment + $500 per sale. After that first month, if you set 40 appointments or get 6 sales in a month, each sale bumps up to $1000. While I was there the turnover was wild. The company promises amazing growth and learning but preps nobody for how hard and boring the job will be, so people just gave up left and right. And the upper management didn’t care! They wrote it off as “lazy employees” instead of providing adequate training and support to address the issue and retain employees and grow the company.
