What Do Customers Say About the Aurora Energy?
Positive reviews:
“My PV array was installed three years ago and so far I had no single problem with it. I have made my research before I have selected Aurora. Their offer had competitive price and best panels well matched to microinverters. The work was performed on time as promised, including permits, inspections, and registrations. The array production is spot on averaging so far about 1% over the promised level. Over the last three years there is no observable deterioration of the energy producing power of the PVs.” – MaKa ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 14, 2015
“We have been extremely satisfied with the entire process involving Aurora Energy, especially with the support provided by Jason Brennan. Aurora has been on top of all matters related to the design and installation of our system since day 1. The only issue was the very long delay in the arrival of the micro-converters needed for our system, an issue which was seemingly out of Aurora`s control. We would not hesitate to recommend the company to others.” – Anonymous ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 3, 2011
Positive reviews:
“Cory is the most helpful and versed person I have heard discuss solar. I called to see about an assessment for my solar panels to discuss with an attorney and googled for a good company and Aurora came up. While I never worked with the company before, Cory was able to take 20 minutes out of his day to discuss options, talk about Solar and bring me up to speed about everything I needed to do to proceed. There are so many solar companies that wouldnt go the extra mile and they did. I am eternally grateful for them and will gladly yet anyone whos interested in Solar opportunities or knowledge know exactly where to call. Thanks again!” – Greg A. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ December 1, 2025
“We ordered a system in early April, had it installed early June. In July BGE finally finished all of their approvals and installed the net meter. Aurora was very easy to work with throughout and informative about all of the current incentives (30% Federal Tax credit, $1000 Maryland grant, SREC’s). They employ their own installers and did a great job, very professional. My system has worked great so far. My July and August electric bills were negative, of course I know in the winter I will still have a big bill, but 8 months out of the year I should be break even or better.” – James B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 11, 2015
Negative reviews:
“Did a good job with the installation 10 years ago. However, recently, they have stopped supporting their residential customers. We have discovered that working directly with the solar equipment companies is difficult to impossible without installer support. Our inverter failed a year ago. Aurora refused to help with the replacement so we have been in limbo for over a year now, working with Sunpower, trying to get it replaced. I understand not wanting to take on new residential customers, but refusing to support existing customers who have paid them tens of thousands of dollars is inexcusable. Choose another company for your commercial solar needs.” – Marty P. ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 14, 2024
“So, I asked these guys to come out and look at my building to see if I can get solar installed. They seemed eager at the start, but after the visit I could never reach them again. I called and left voicemails and emailed them, but no response! I guess they don’t want my business, but at least have the courtesy to say they can’t do the job. They might do a good job, but they have to start it first.” – Casey J. ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 24, 2011
Positive reviews:
“Aurora has been a terrific partner for commercial-scale solar projects–they offer fair and transparent pricing, and their operations team is responsive, efficient, and very capable. When some pre-existing challenges at the site became apparent, their team was professional and worked hard to find resolution without delaying the deployment. Definitely worthwhile to give them a call if you’re looking at scoping out commercial scale solar options.” – Luke Lanciano ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025
“Aurora Energy is a first class partner for constructing solar projects. We’ve known and worked with them for over a decade building a variety of sites whether car dealerships, farms or private residential installations. They are led with a mindset of service, value and impeccable integrity. I highly recommend working with them in any capacity.” – Michael Ewing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025
