“I was solicited by a door-to-door solar company and almost committed with them, but when I proceeded to do my research, Cape Fear Solar was recommended as a reputable alternative. I called them and Caleb Timothy came to our house THAT DAY. He assured us that he was not just trying to make a sale but wanted to show us our alternatives. The Cape Fear proposal was thousands less with many more specifics. We immediately cancelled the other commitment and asked him to contact us in three months. He did call us three months later with no pressure and we decided to move forward with solar installation. The process was seamless. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional. “I am so glad I found Cape Fear Solar over 5 years ago!!! The company is filled with wonderful professionals that truly care about the work we do, each other and our customers. I love the integrity the company demonstrates, straight forward approach to sales, and high quality installations (I can easily tell by looking at a solar system if our team did it by the attention to detail our designers and crews have). Employees that work hard and are a good cultural fit advance very quickly. They have in-house training programs and also send many employees off to paid training sessions. The company is very organized and the CEO is wonderful to work for. He really cares about everyone at the company and I could not imagine myself working anywhere else. That must be why there is little turnover for top talent. The individuals that depart from CFSS rarely share the same values as the rest of us. “Cape Fear Solar installed 5 Tesla PW 3s and 2 SPAN electrical panels along with excellent planning and installation expertise. We had previously installed an approximate 22 kWh dc Tesla solar tile roof. Cape Fear was very well organized and professional. All work was done when planned and completed on time. All my questions were promptly responded to and the system has worked extremely well since it was installed nearly 1 year ago, producing 25-30 MWs per year. Cape Fear has periodic webinars to educate new people interested in solar but also teaching experienced solar home owners. I tune in when I can and learn something each time. Gabe Amey is a serious, responsive and professional project leader (not sure of his title) and an excellent teacher who understands this industry quite well. The system was somewhat overbuilt at my request. Cape Fear installs other solar systems and was knowledgeable about any that I asked about. We’ve installed solar on our primary residence twice (long story) and on my daughter’s house. Working with Cape Fear was a far more satisfying experience than the previous installations; it is a very professional organization with well-trained staff, compared to the previous installers in a different state. “Terrible System, I had a 10kw system installed last year in May, and my system has not been working right since install. The entire install process was a headache, my power was out for 3 days, a portion of my roof was damaged, and PTO took 2 months. Then after PTO my bill was even higher than it was before Solar.
