“We hired cobalt to install a solar + battery system. Their initial proposal was the most expensive out of the 3 vendors we checked but we decided to go with them since they have been around the longest.However, everything went downhill after we signed. The project took 7 months to finish, when they originally promised 2 months. Part of the reason is failing the fire inspection three times (each time for different reasons). I was glad when the final fire inspection passed eventually, but 8 months after the initial installation, our roof had a water leakage, and every roofer that came to do a quote said our shingles are too old and that we should have not installed solar. “Not well run. I booked a service appointment and got a return email seemingly confirming. Then no show. Called in to find out that the email did not indicate confirmation and I was supposed to get in contact with their new systems designer. I was calling for a service on a system already installed by someone else and was told they aren’t seeing service calls until next year. “I worked diligently in a variety of areas including processing the company payroll and keeping the personal files of employees. I also did the A/P & A/R for the company, and assisted in various HR related and administrative tasks as necessary. There were financial reports I reviewed with Management bi-weekly as well as meetings I conducted with a focus on closing jobs and receiving payments in a timely manner. The Management style was not to my liking. There was a lot of criticism of work in front of other co-workers which was highly unprofessional. The hardest part was working as a loyal employee but not feeling acknowledged or recognized as an asset to the company. The most enjoyable part of the job included some relationships I formed and some areas within being a payroll specialist in which I learned to do more complex, certified prevailing wage payrolls. “I contacted Cobalt after speaking with several other installers and getting a quote from one. We live in a condominium community with restrictions on how to implement solar. The other installers made the whole process seem so complicated. From the initial quote to the final installation, Cobalt made everything simple. They came up with a panel array that gave us more panels of a higher quality and paired it with a Tesla Powerwall. The other quote had an inferior solution with fewer panels and less battery storage. Ultimately, the Cobalt proposal was not just superior, but also thousands of dollars more affordable.
