“Creative Solar was very thorough in their sales process that translated to their install and communication throughout. The only downside which was of no fault to Creative Solar is the timeliness (or lack thereof) of Southern Company/Georgia Power in getting a witness test. I was very pleased with the proposal and the value it promises. The workmanship is top notch and when they couldn’t do what we had discussed due to a roof beam in the way they came to me and we talked about work-arounds. “We had a home system with 22 panels installed by Creative Solar in July 2017 as part of a city push to have more than 100 homes in Decatur install solar (goal met and exceeded). Creative Solar was pre-screened and selected as the contractor by the coalition of organizations (Sierra Club, Environment GA, etc) and the City promoting Decatur’s solar push. We had an excellent experience with Creative Solar, from start to finish, from deciding on configuration and size, finalizing plans, permitting, installation, grid hookup and wifi app for online monitoring. We interacted with quite a few people from Creative Solar and everyone was great — professional, reliable, enthusiastic and helpful. We’ve been glad to stay in touch with Creative Solar and strongly recommend them. They continue to be easily available to us when we have a question. “Prior to contacting Creative Solar USA, I was actively speaking to and planning to contract with a different Solar Company, however the week that we had scheduled a site visit, the representative of that company failed to show up. It turned out for the best because after termination of that brief encounter, I found Creative Solar on-line, and their website was so impressive, so professional and comprehensive. Shortly after contacting Creative Solar, Sales Representative Brooke Fortenberry called me back, introduced herself, as well as her company and convinced me that it might in my best interest to schedule a site visit with Creative Solar. Well now, that site visit turned out to be the best ‘Solar’ decision that I have made. When Ms. Fortenberry reported on site, she proceeded to perform a thorough site survey of my roofing, attic space, electrical feeds and landscaping. Once completed, and before she made her recommendation, she proceeded to explain and educate me on solar architecture in general, and how a solar system might respond at my ‘real estate’ environment. She answered all of my questions. Only after she felt confident that I had obtained a level of understanding, she offered several recommendations, and provided me with a menu of other services and optional upgrades, all provided by Creative Solar. The presentation concluded with an explanation to the entire installation process and time frames which included how and which Creative Solar team members would be assigned to navigate and obtain various approvals required from various governmental agencies, both pre and post installation. Oh, Ms. Fortenberry also covered the various incentives that came with the purchase of a System from Creative Solar. I was, so ‘Sold!’ Prior to installation, Ms. Fortenberry as well as many others on her team, took all of my phone calls and answered all of my questions. I was treated like ‘Royalty.’ Glad to say, my system has been installed and is on line and there hasn’t been a single day that my electric meter hasn’t run in reverse. So in conclusion, I highly recommend Creative Solar for all the above reasons, based on my experience with them. “It took over a year to get our panels installed. I realize the supply chain is slow at times, but it’s not this slow. This is not our first PV install. I constantly had to ask for updates every other month and every time it seemed like they had just forgotten about me. Twice I was contacted in error and I was misgendered over the phone several times. Seems like every email I sent, the rep we were working with was no longer with the company. Finally after a year of all this, we got an install date and they tried to get out of the panel upgrade that was in our contract, saying that the sales rep was to blame. “One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Turnover at the company is epic.When an employee quits, they don’t have anyone checking their voicemail or email. Communications are poor and they blame other organizations for dropping the ball when it’s really their fault. They miss deadlines over and over. They make appointments for installation then simply fail to show up. My solar system was installed more than a week ago and they haven’t bothered to get it up and running. They say Acworth Power is hard to reach but they haven’t so much as left them a voicemail. Never again would I work with a company this poorly managed.
