What Do Customers Say About the Cromwell Solar?

solarreviews.com

Positive reviews:

“Once, with the help of Cromwell Solar, we decided to add solar the process was seamless and efficiently completed. They did all of the leg work regarding permits and shepherded the process through the city historic committee. We installed our solar on our historic barn where is is not visible to people passing our property. It does not at all distract from the fact that our home and environs are on the National Register of Historic Places. As installation took place the solar folk where open to small requests we made and frankly made to whole process simple and easy.” – denny ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 13, 2016

“We had two systems installed at our farm. One to supply the house and one for the Barn. We had a lot of requirements, and the team at Cromwell walked us through it well. Their team designed a system that would put the wiring system at the farm underground, and go through the backup generator we have in case the electricity goes out. It may have been one of the most complicated systems they have ever put in, and had a lot of hoops to jump through with the county and KCPL. They took care of it all. I think that is why the scheduling was only good and not excellent. We have only had the system generating since October 2015, but the March 2016 bill found us with a negative bill on one system, and a much smaller bill on the barn. We used both the lease deal for the residential, and was able to get the depreciation benefit as well as Tax benefit on the commercial side. Overall we are happy with the system and the process.” – mmrkeller ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 5, 2016

Negative reviews:

“I chose Cromwell because of the sales person. I regret this decision and now realize the competitors are much more honest.” – Scott Almsberger ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 14, 2020

“Cromwell is great with front end selling. Then they ran out of panels and had to wait for the supplier to make, I guess. They delayed install by about 3 months, then they charged more before asking me due to their own tardiness. Then they went on vacation and delayed hook up with the power company, as result, I missed months of great sun. And their bookkeeping is atrocious, they do not itemize and just send bills unexpectedly. Doubt if I would recommend.” – Priscilla Barrera ⭐⭐☆☆☆ 3 years ago

Positive reviews:

“Great place to work at. Very challenging but pay makes up for it. People are friendly and very helpful. Solar is the field of the future and this place is doing it right.” – Solar Installer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 25, 2023

“Encourages and pays for certifications and classes more than any other firm I worked for. They expect the best so not everyone works out- those that don’t write bad reviews here- those that do end up NABCEP certified Master Electricians with endless possibilities.” – Solar Installer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 7, 2023

Negative reviews:

“I was fired and not given a reason other then they didn’t have any work for me. the next day they turned around and posted the Jobs I offered to to stay employed. they treat their people like dirt and have no respect for anyone. I worked for them for 10 months and saw the owners 2 times. they are unevolved and always on vacation. we were promised a bonus which we eventually got but they pushed it back quite a few times. And if your not willing to give up everything for the company they have no use for you.” – Installer ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 4, 2019

“Most people learn on the job. Mistakes were often but we would be asked to keep going on the job task due to the contracts. People will ridicule the slow, praise the fastest. Promise of bonuses but no history of payouts. People have high hopes of being hired full time with benefits, only 8 people total actually are. Have to fight for your gas mileage and your offered per diem.” – Solar Installer ⭐⭐☆☆☆ December 23, 2021

Positive reviews:

“Cromwell Environmental is an outstanding company in the mold remediation space, where there are few. I had 3 home projects generated by a competitor’s vague residential mold inspection report. Cromwell project managers Macey Spaulding, Lindsay Brooks, and Jennifer Grogg answered every question, generated fair estimates and saw all 3 projects through to completion. The on site crews were professional and highly skilled. If you need this type of work done, Cromwell Environmental is awesome!” – Vincent Marschean ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025

“Cromwell Environmental was good to work with. We were always informed on the next step in the permit process and installation of the panels and wiring and site inspections. Cromwell did a professional job and we appreciated that our solar panel system was in operation quickly.” – Phil Askey ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2025

Negative reviews:

“If I could give less than one star, I would. We were initially very happy with our panels, but as soon as we had a problem, our costs suddenly skyrocketed. The company ended up costing us over $12,000.” – Lee Maziar ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2020

“Dealing with the office was ok, however, their contractors are careless, they did mold remediation at my new place and splashed my wood and concrete floor with paint. They needed to come back for a second time since they missed several spots and take care of the paint splashes” – Miguel T. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2019
