What Do Customers Say About the CS Energy?

Positive reviews:

“The company has a great culture, they try to do good by everyone. They promote from within and often for deserving candidates. Exciting project pipelines.” – Field Engineer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 24, 2022

“I honestly enjoy working at CS Energy. Things are extremely fast paced, the work is very interesting and more than anything across the bored the team is amazing (very collaborative). The company is growing rapidly, however it is apparent that they try really hard to stay engaged and constantly work to improve. Pivoting to work in the renewable industry and for CSE has been a positive experience. I see both the potential to grow and learn here. Overall I’m happy in my role.” – Employee ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 19, 2020

Negative reviews:

“Any form of field work be prepared to spend half the day doing paperwork or meetings about the paperwork. When not completing the paperwork managers and directors will ask for it constantly. You are expected to complete all of it on a regular basis while performing work outdoors. With a full team (3 to 4 members) the work can easily be done, however be prepared to be understaffed and overworked on many occasions. Managers will take credit for your work when in the field, while publicly shaming you on meetings for things you mess up on. It is a salary system for 50 hours, yet most employees who are in the field work over 60 any given week. You are guaranteed to get paid weekly, but not your subcontractors. They will not get paid and they will threaten to walk away from the jobsite. Yes this falls on you to fix it, not the main office who controls the cash flow. All of the company outings are for office personnel, once a year does the field teams get a consistent outing. But expect them to be on Tuesday through Thursday. You will be expected to be on site the next day no matter the weather or distance. In my time there I watched mass turnover, with over 13 Superintendents of all levels leaving. Close to 10 Project Managers and a handful of field engineers. All of your field teams. Not many people stay past 2 years. Your yearly incentives are a baseball hat at year 1, a backpack at year 2. So be warned, in the field you will suffer long hours with little acknowledgement for your hard work.” – Anonymous ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 3, 2025

“I had an extremely disappointing experience with CS Energy. The company’s business practices are far from ethical, and their treatment of employees is concerning. Despite having dedicated, talented individuals on their team, they let go of good people without any real reason or explanation. It creates a poisonous atmosphere where loyalty and hard work appear mean nothing. Leadership is not transparent and do not care about the welfare of its workers. The entire attitude is stressful and unwelcoming, and it’s a challenging place to work and/or develop professionally. If you are seeking for a secure, helpful and ethical organization to work for I would look elsewhere.” – Project Coordinator ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 1, 2024
