“Dominion Energy disconnected my service this morning without any notice. I also did not receive the paper bill at the correct address. Last month, when I attempted to make a payment, the system only showed the current month’s balance, and I was not aware of any past-due amount. This morning, my daughter woke me up to tell me that we had no electricity, which made it impossible to prepare her lunch before school. When I contacted customer service, they informed me that I must pay approximately $750 due to a past-due balance. Although I explained that I have consistently made payments and that our heating is primarily gas, resulting in typically lower electricity bills, they insisted that I pay the full amount before restoring service. I requested assistance and asked if I could make a partial payment and set up a payment plan for the remaining balance. Unfortunately, both the customer service representative and the supervisor repeated the same policy and were unable to offer any flexibility or support.
