“We called Eco Roof and Solar and SHAWN STANDIFER came out to our home to take a look at our roof after our insurance company determined the hail in June had ruined the shingles. From the first meeting to the end of the project Shawn went over and above expectations to make sure that we understood the process. He dealt with the insurance company and clearly understood what was needed in the replacement of a roof on a 110 year old home. Shawn was so patient when I couldn’t decide what color roof I wanted and brought many samples and gave addresses of roofs in those colors for me to see. The crew that actually did the roof were fast, careful, and cleaned up after themselves. They even sent a man out the day after completion to make sure all was well. Shawn was here several times each day the install was happening, up on the roof taking pictures to show us so we’d understand what was being done. I would recommend Eco Roof and Solar and especially Shawn Standifer to anyone that wants a first class experience with a company that truly takes pride in its work. “Do not use this company! They contracted with us for a new roof 3 years ago and after installing it incorrectly, they still have not repaired it. This has been over 3 years! It has ruined the inside of my master bedroom wall and moulding. They will promise to fix it and week after week they were no shows with no explanation. “hired Eco after hurricane Ian October 2022. same price for tile or powder coated steel. work started October 2023 Took 4 weeks tiles laid uneven and wavy, some damaged. Manager refused to fix. also offered discount to use original gutters but refused credit when asked for it and then tried to upcharge to reattach old gutters. Bullies and liars. Also completely ripped up front yard and cracked our cement driveway. In all, overprice, under delivered. Will have to hire new company to fix poor workmanship. “I have been trying to get an estimate for replacing two skylights on my covered patio since May . Eco Roofing replaced my roof in 2018 and did a decent job. We had a technician come out in May for a repair on a flashing that was loose. He repaired it and took measurements of the skylights . Numerous calls and messages left without answering or return . When I was able to reach a live person (manager) she assured me that she would have ( co-worker) contact me with an estimate . She did not ! More calls and unanswered messages . Finally a live person again (customer service)who assures me that he will have someone else contact me. Never happened ! More calls and finally a live person again (manager) who assures me again that she will have (co-worker) get me an estimate . Nothing ! More calls and a different live person this time who deserves a medal for caring and following through with her word . With her help I was finally emailed what was suppose to be an estimate from (co-worker) . No breakdown to explain how this estimate was calculated . No price for materials to show me what I would be paying for the skylights , or the labor, or the hauling away of old materials. Just all lumped together with one big price of $4163.33 for two skylights . “AVOID ECO ROOF AND SOLAR ! I did not have a great experience with this company. Their team left an absurd amount of debris, trash, water bottles, hot sauce, nails, and a REMOVEDSAW on my property. I have young kids, and animals and I had already kindly three times ask them to clean up after themselves when this happened. Thank his nobody was hurt. “A typical day at ECO can be hectic and demanding. But as long as you are up for the challenge it is completely rewarding. There is a total lack of leadership in Louisiana and this area will continue to fail until upper management steps in and takes this area seriously. It seems like everyone was on board right after the storm, because there was a lot of work. Now that the majority of the work is done, management has disappeared also. “You will be lied to during the interview. There are no bonuses, there is no internal advancement. You don’t even really get pto, they just decide if you get days off. Yes that means they can deny you pto and can’t cash it out when you eventually quit. Request to see and active job site(s) and speak to other employees in private in order make your decision, to join. Understand will be used and treated like a tool. They do not care about you. “Many roofing companies cut corners on re-roofing a mid- century modern home, but not Eco Roof and Solar. It was a challenge as the roof is part of the unique architectural features of the home, and because there is no attic, securing the roof without putting hundreds of nails through the ceiling, on which the roof sits, is no easy matter. They used only the highest quality materials, very professional crews that wasted no time and whose workmanship was outstanding. The end result was the roof line was not altered thereby reducing the value of the home, the use of commercial roofing materials means it will last for years, and the house is 20 degrees warmer inside. All this for the house and detached garage at a price competitive with the eight other bids I had received , but for less work and lesser quality materials. They did a fabulous job. If you have a mid-century modern or any home with a unique roof,these are the people to use. If t hey are this good imagine how good a job they will do on a regular pitched or flat roof.i would use them again and happily recommend them to anyone considering a roof repair or replacement. Mark, their representative is great, honest and a delight to work with on this project. He visited the site, even climbing on the roof to insect the work, on virtually a daily basis to ensure quality. “We contracted with ECO for a new roof and it failed causing major damage to the inside of our master bedroom. We did not have a leak prior and we were replacing for fire mitagation purposes. it has been almost 3 years and they still have not repaired it. They promise to repair but have been unsucessful and now they don’t even answer our emails or phone calls. “Unprofessional, untrustworthy, and the work is still incomplete. We hired Eco Roof and Solar in July 2017 to repair our roof. In January 2018, the roof is still not done. Parts of the roof were re-done with extremely shoddy workmanship. We have consulted other contractors who have told us that the entire roof put up by Eco will need to be re-done. Eco also promised new decking, which was never added. Flashing is missing or incomplete in many spots. Further inspection of the roof shows areas completely uncovered, broken boards, missing gutters, and the list goes on. Additonally, Eco never completed the damaged siding beause their quote was much higher than originally promised. After our extreme disappointment with the person who was handing our project, Eco directed us to another manager to help finish the job. Upon trying to reach him, he will be in Florida for the next month. If you want ****-poor workmanship, no communication, high prices, and overall terrible experience, hire Eco Roof and Solar for your next project. “Eco Roof and Solar replaced our shingles and underlay following a tornado and hailstorm. At our request they upgraded our roof vents and added a ridge vent on the house and garage. Once shingles were available they promptly scheduled the work and did it all in one day and the roof looks good and has not had any problems. They did a good job policing the site for roofing nails and old shingle pieces that slipped to the ground. They were careful with plants around the house. The site manager, Nick, came back the next day and touched up a couple of small paint scrapes on our gutters. He came back another time with a colleague to address some noisy vent flaps. They dealt with the insurance company for both actual value and recoverable depreciation. Overall, they did a first rate job. While we only paid for a small part of the work (the requested upgrades) their pricing seemed in line with other roofers in the area (and our insurance company did not resist the pricing). I would not hesitate to use them again. They also worked up a nice analysis of the costs and benefits of adding solar panels and related equipment. “I had Eco Roof and Solar replace my roof only four years ago, and now I have to hire another more reputable Roofing company to fix their mistakes. Shingles were butted up against a 2×4 instead of sliding them underneath the board thus allowing water from rain storms to penetrate under the roof causing over $2000 in damages. The soffit has a huge hole and a rafter and part of the decking have rotted out. Also found where flashing and tar were missing and nail heads exposed to rust. “Very disappointing, dishonest customer experience. I had a few contractors estimate a roof repair. Eco came, did an assessment and explained a pretty straight forward approach for the repair, consistent with other estimates i got. About 5 days later, i got a message that the roof repair “”was more of a liability and ultimately wouldn’t serve me or Eco”” and therefore, they wouldn’t provide an estimate. They suggested a full roof replacement which is approximately $80-100k – and totally unnecessary. The roof is concrete tiles, common in Colorado. I have a small leak around a chimney and a few broken tiles. If you don’t want repair jobs, then tell the customer before you waste their time … but don’t lie about liability.
