“I am very happy to reccomend EcoSmart for a solar project. I have a historic home with multiple buildings and couldnt have exposed conduit. There were helpful in the deisgn, accomodating with the extra effort to hide the conduit and metering as much as possible, and once they started they came evey day until it was finished. “I’m the proud owner of a new solar array installed by Eco-Smart. From the quote to the site evaluation, installation and activation this company does a top notch job. The installers were very professional and timely. Steve Pelton, the company owner was on site to make sure everything was going well and to make sure I was happy with the progress. “Whole process took well over a year. Then received final payment and the job was never completed or followed up with. I asked owner to call to discuss the poor customer service for not following up and was left hanging. All cared about was getting paid then once was couldn’t even call to follow up with customer nor return any phone call. The owner should have followed through made sure everything was running and follow up with communication to a customer. He didnt even care. “Outstanding experience. EcoSmart installed my solar a few years ago with exceptional workmanship especially the way they concealed wires internally eliminating obtrusive conduit externally. Recently I noticed a leak in my roof that appeared to originate beneath a solar panel. Stephen and an associate came out immediately to my call on a Sunday to repair the leak. I was pleasantly surprised with the response and fix, but Stephen reminded me that EcoSmart honors their work warrantee. “These people have been dishonest. They actually caused damage to our house and we had to fight with them to get them to take care of it. They didn’t seem to know much about the products they were selling. They told us things that were not true and then contradicted themselves. If you end up dealing with them, you might be wise to withhold partial payment until you are absolutely sure they have met their obligations. Or get a lawyer to help out. “As of now i have sent 4 or 5 emails with no reply what so ever. Got a tankless 11kw eco smart water heater for christmas. Went to install it and i get no hot water at all. “Will not honor warranty they have all information I have fax and email where heater was registered and company didn’t do what they needed to do and are saying it was never registered however they have all information on unit and me and have warranty part in the past extremely poor communication supervisor who contacted me was extr rude and non professional. Don’t understand how a company can get by with such a scam . ECOSSMART lifetime warranty does not exist . “We had a home energy assessment performed by Ryan Dumas and his team and they were great. Really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about energy improvements. They were able to achieve a 20% reduction in air leakage in my home through their improvements. They also helped me obtain significant state rebates so I could better insulate my attic. Their insulation team led by Jaylen did an excellent job as well. Recently, I had an issue where a door seal became too tight in the winter weather and Ryan responded the same day to help adjust the seal and door so it would lock smoothly again. “This company is falling apart and I’m tired of the excuses. I’ve dealt with 4 operational people (several people have left and joined since under contract) , spent over $30,000 on solar panels for a project that was supposed to be ‘fully installed, inspected, and operational’ by 3rd July 2025. Here we are Sept 25th and this costly system still hasn’t paid a penny towards my electric bill and the summer is now over. To make matters worse, I have to call/email to get Ecosmart to follow through on the corrections/things needed to get my system up and running. its like a part time job that i shouldn’t have to do on top of the huge delay they had every chance to avoid. Im not one to usually give bad reviews but this has been a painstaking process and me having to follow up to get them to do what they should already be doing- is like adding insult to injury. “I had a home audit performed for the Energize CT program. The tech came by and inspected the home for 4 hours because he spent more than half the time training a new hire. The problem is the technician stated my basement is a heated space. I have had no heat in my basement since I moved in the home. They denied my ability to get rebates for insulation due to the techs statement. I made several attempts to have them rectify the situation which they ignored. They have not sent an auditor to review what the technician evaluated. More over it took over a month to get an evaluation report. I also asked for them to provide a quote for solar panels when the technician was here. He stated someone from the company would reach out to me. No one ever did. Overall a poor customer service experience. I would not recommend under any circumstance. I wish google gave an option to give no stars as a part of the rating.” – D Duval ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2022
