What Do Customers Say About the Eland Electric Corp?

Positive reviews:

“I recommend Eland Electric to anyone looking for small electrical work to large including solar install from start to finish or midstream. I had another company install solar panels and the week before the final inspection I received a call, the company went bankrupt. From panic to finding hope and resolution these guys worked us in their busy schedule, came out to the house looked things over, added/moved what was necessary, and got the solar up and running. These guys have integrity. Thank you Eland Electric, each guy involved!” – Dawn G. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 20, 2024

“We were having strange electrical problems at our business and called Eland to help us do some trouble shooting. They called one of their electricians off of another long term job to stop in and help us us. Quickly found some very serious high voltage coming into our building, tuned off power, and called WPS to open transformer. The two crews diagnosed problem, called in an order to some specialty supplies, returned with a co-worker, and worked in and out in the cold and wind to get the work done correctly yet as quickly as possible. Incredibly prompt, knowledgeable, professional, and fast acting, doing everything possible to get our business phones, computers, and lights back on. We very much appreciate how seriously and professionally Kyle coordinated our 6 hour repair, which very well may have prevented a very serious fire.” – Rebecca C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 19, 2016

Negative reviews:

“I asked for a quote to install wiring with my own purchased ceiling fan in the great room area of my home. A tech came, said track wiring would need to go all the way my wall and ceiling, and I would have to paint it to match my walls. The tech never bothered to look in my attic, where it was obvious wiring could easily be run. Over two weeks later I received a quote in the mail for a crazy $1,200; yes not a misprint $1,200. Not only is the tech a complete idiot, but the vice president who signed off on this quote should be ashamed of himself, to try to scam a possible unsuspecting woman. While waiting for the long awated quote a neighbor mentioned they had the same job done by Vos Electric. Vos came within the week, did an easily install through the attic and we’re done in no time. Cost you are wondering? $250.00. Eland Electric shame on you!!” – Sheri M. ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 15, 2015

“This is the fourth time we have used Eland and each time they consistently over bill. With each project we ask for a paper or electronic quote and are continually denied by each technician and the main office with comments like “”We don’t do those. That takes to much work. We’d have to charge you more if we did that.”” They quote us a price we feel is reasonable, we have them in to do the work, and then are billed anywhere from 20-100+% more than what was quoted. When we contact them to refute the billing, we are always told “”It is what it is. Take it or leave it. Do you really want us to send you to collections for this?”” Because they perform quality work, we decided to just take it on the smaller bills that went up anywhere from $65 – $278 over quote. However, with this last job they quoted us “”about $600″” to install a lantern in our backyard and then billed us $1,626.48. That is more than a $1,000 increase with no previous discussions of cost increases. Furthermore, we were quite clear with EACH technician that they sent out, that were the costs to exceed this, they first needed to notify us and gain our permission to proceed before doing so. They gave us a small window of time to rip out an entire flower bed and haul the lantern to our home, and after we rushed to do so, did not return repeated calls to schedule the install for more than six weeks. They sent multiple techs each time, (rarely the same ones) between the quote and install processes, and never passed on the proper information, meaning that each time, the tech(s) had to leave the house multiple times to go back and get the materials they were supposed to have onsite in the first place. (The tech that arrived the first day showed us his phone in which it stated he was dispatched to “”install a light””, not trench for installation of an existing fixture, added a sonotube for cement installation by owners. add an IR sensor, add an outlet, etc.) They also stopped to take several calls (anywhere from 5-20 minutes) while onsite and once left to “”run over to another job””. Yet we were billed for all of their “”time”” each day, which totaled more than 19 hours between spread between multiple technicians, bringing our labor bill to more than $1,400 alone. And we did large sections of this work ourselves, including tearing out the landscaping, installing the sonotube, installing the cement, hauling and positioning the lantern, etc. They refuse to return calls to book business, let alone address issues in a timely fashion.” – Briana P. ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 11, 2018

“Eland is A-plus. Jessie is in charge of the solar work and he kept us up to date and did a fantastic job of filling out all the forms. He filled out forms that give credit to us for having solar energy. We probably worked with him for three months. Their price was extremely fair and was by far the lowest one.” – William M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 2011

Positive reviews:

“Great company that does exceptional work. We had them put solar panels on our shop and have nothing but great words to say about them. We checked around, but nobody else was as educated with the product like these guys, and the price was the best as well. I guess there is a reason they are The Best of The Bay.” – Nick Propson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ January 2026

“We just used this company to install solar panels on our home. From the first inquiry to the last step of “”going active”” Eland Electric made the entire process seamless. They covered all the details. They answered all of our questions responding quickly and thoroughly. Everyone on the team was friendly, open and professional. We enjoyed working with them and are happy to be a part of Door County’s Solar Family!!” – Trish Black ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 2025
