“I wish I could select zero stars for Emerald Sun Energy! I will never recommend Emerald Sun Energy company or this owner to anyone, not even to an enemy! My panels are up since 2021, but not getting the results promised. Their workmanship was terrible. After one year my neighbor spotted some metal pieces on my roof. The terrible installation resulted in loose mid-clamps that are holding the panels. They took advantage of my situation, me having zero knowledge about the solar system, convinced me to pay over $26K for the solar system, telling me lies that I don’t have to be worried for my electric bills anymore. He misrepresented about the savings I should have, promised me in writing that if I ever have a bill to pay, he is going to install a few additional panels free of charge. This never happened! When I contacted him complaining that I am receiving very high bills from the utility company, his response was telling me that my system is working properly but according to him I am just using more energy than usual. I live by myself in a house with super insulated roof, new AC, new windows, being extremely frugal and getting higher bills than my neighbors who don’t have solar panels, who live in a bigger house with three people, and their payments are much less than my bills. Every once a while I am getting bills over $140+ on top of the $35.73 monthly fee for the smart meter. The owner is providing very deceptive information, misrepresenting his system. I have Solar Electricity at my other home in South Eastern Massachusetts and I pay nothing to National Grid from April through December. because of that I was going with Tesla, the new owners of Solar City, where there was so much confusion, I decided to go with Emerald Sun Energy. For the month of February my electric bill with Duke Energy was $160.00 and we have not even hit the hottest time of the year. In March my electric bill was $8.32. I am so happy I went with Anthony. He is quite knowledgeable and the price was fantastic for our Solar System. I would definitely recommend Anthony and Emerald Sun Energy when selecting a solar company for your home. “Anthony was great! Very knowledgeable. I had several companies come out and give me a proposal for a system. After gathering all of them and comparing, I called the power company for further research. The system that Emerald Sun proposed was the exact estimate that the power company suggested I get according to my power usage. Some companies recommended systems that were under powered and others tried to up-sale overpowered systems but Emerald was right on point.
