“When we decided to invest in solar energy, I spoke with a friend that had already done so. He recommended Ed Graves and Energy Improvements. I called him, and he arranged to drive down from Tyler Texas to our home in Pasadena. I found him to be very personable, friendly, and honest. Sure, he sells it, but it’s his own company so he didn’t need anyone’s permission to make a deal. Our situation also required a new roof before we could install the panels, (We were already aware, as the roof was pretty old.) Ed used his connections to set us up with Elite Roofing, who did a fine job. For the panels, Ed used Fusion out of Arizona. The process was straightforward, they handled the permits and inspections, and the upgrade to our breaker box. “I got this radiant barrier installed August 2024. My house was never cooler and never saw any savings on my electric bills. After reaching out to Ed about my displeasure he said well you know its the hottest time of the year. Well gee no kidding. That was the purpose of installing this worthless junk. Now that i have gone through the colder months my house is colder than before and i have to turn my thermostat up even higher. I have never seen any benefits from this. “My energy bill has not dropped one red cent. I have called and left messages 7 times in 10 days and received nothing in response. This is a scam and I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I find his methods of salesmanship to be as underhanded as I have ever seen. He had pictures and testimonials of people showing and discussing the cost savings that incurred, but his product delivers none of that. At this rate, it would take 100 years to pay off this system. This is not how it was presented to me at his office several months ago. “I had a solar powered vent and blanket-type radiant barrier installed in the attic. We decided on the blanket type because it appears to be more efficient than the spray-on type. The salesman arrived on time, very professional, no pressure. Installers arrived on-time and did a great job. They were clean and quiet, worked quickly and did not leave any mess of any kind. Upon completion, the crew foreman explained what they had done and explained in detail how best to protect and maintain the products for maximum benefit. Because this summer was so insanely hot, I have not been able to tell if I am saving any money on my cooling bills. The attic seems cooler because of the solar powered vent, so I feel confident that I am getting some benefit from these products. Overall, the job went very well. “Excellent experience with Energy Improvements! We attended a dinner that Ed (owner) hosted giving us great information regarding radiant barrier for our attic. We were in the market to put more blown in insulation ourselves or have it done. After receiving a few blown in insulation quotes, we went with the radiant barrier which installed was much less cost to us. Installers Abner and Antonio left an hour ago after 3.5 hours to install the radiant barrier (2500 sf attic area). Both Abner and Antonio were very professional, answered all our questions and went over the completed job once they finished. They marked no walking areas around the storage decks and made sure we were pleased with their work. Now, I know it’s only been an hour since they left but I can honestly say our two story home is already more comfortable throughout the whole house but especially upstairs which by this time of day with full sun,, the upstairs is already starting to get warmer than downstairs with full sun beating on the roof. We have 8″ of blown in insulation in the attic and the radiant barrier was put over the top of the insulation. We are very pleased with Energy Improvements from Ed the owner, to our visit from him, to the quoted cost, to the install workers Abner and Antonio, to the excellent quality of the product. We highly recommend Energy Improvements, whatever your home improvements may be, Ed and company will make sure you are happy with the results! “After reading some reviews about Energy Imporvements some good some bad. I thought I would get an estimate for my home so I called 3 weeks ago and was told they would have someone call me back. Waiting a week I never heard from them. So I called them back left my name and phone number. Again I was told they would call me back immediately. So I waited. A week went by and not a word from them. So I called again. This time he said he would pass me through to someone. After a few minutes of waiting. I was told to call back later. LOL. I think there was another review by Lisa who experienced the same problem. One of the things I like to do when searching for services, in this case it was insulation, I give them a small job and see how they perform. Are they trustworthy? Do they stand behind their product? How do they treat potential customers? Then if they are a good company then I usually give them a bigger job. In this case I had several buildings I wanted to insulate. What I discovered about this company is they are not dependable in the small things. Whether, my initial job was too small of just poor management I will never know. All I wanted was for someone to give me a call back from your company concerning your product. My point was that I never heard back from your company. How is that possible if your concerned about customer satisfaction? Even a call back to let me know you were forwarding me to an insulation company we would have been able to clear the mis- communication. Maybe I use the word insulation and it confused you but when I talked to your company representative I specifically mention I was interested in your product.
