Enlite Home review

Enlite Home gets the Average Performer badge and works in 1 state, but their third-party ratings don't go above 4. Local community trust isn't their strong suit either - their score is 3.7 in our evaluation. This badge means they are somehow reliable, but you need to pay more attention to what they have to offer. While Enlite Home may not lead the pack, they are certainly recognized for their capacity to meet a broad range of solar installation needs with commendable customer satisfaction. When considering this solar installer, you can add Enlite Home to your list as a lower priority and one that requires additional research before you decide to work with them.

What do Customers Say about the Enlite Home?

yelp.com

Positive reviews:

“We talked to Kenna and she is so knowledgeable and helpful that we decided to install the Solar board immediately after meeting with her. Installation and permit was done smoothly and now we are starting to use Solar electric. Great experience!” – Qiqi L. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 12, 2024

“Kenna was persuasive without being pushy. She explained how Enlite and Sunrun would help my house become electric-carbon neutral at 0 cost to me while lowering my monthly PG&E electric costs. Note that I had purchased solar panels 6 years earlier that had cut my electric use in half, so the proposal was to add 11 more panels to supplement my current system. In the end, it made too much sense for me to NOT proceed with installing additional panels. I think this is just a case where California environmental policies and incentives made this decision pretty easy for me.” – Mark F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ August 14, 2021

Negative reviews:

“Also make note Purchasing A PPA from them is like a prison sentence. You can’t get out for 25 years so if you had plans to sell you cant. You are in a trap. They do not explain that so they can get the sale and then claim they told you. Don’t trust anything they say. They just want the sale” – Michael M. ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 1, 2025

“We had our solar installed in July of 2024. It all started well with our service representative. He reviewed the program with us, discussing how we can save more money. It all sounded great, and things began to move fast with the survey and install. The installation was not up to the standards they had discussed when installing the conduit from my electrical panel; it was very poorly done with a stucco patch that was not the same as before. They also said they would be back out to paint the conduit to match the house’s color. Trying to get a hold of our rep, he said that his job was to get us started, and then any issues with the installation or the system had to go through customer service. It felt as if we no longer had a relationship with our rep. The service cost is still the same or more than what I am paying to Enlite and PG&E. I do not see any cost savings now, as we have been misled! Reaching someone at Enlite is hard, and they do not return calls. It makes it hard to understand when you are supposed to save and have a negative cost from your service provider to benefit from having solar. Need to get answers on how we can get to save and not pay more when we should be paying less.” – Antonio M. ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 24, 2025

Positive reviews:

“The people that work at Enlite are the reason it’s bearable. The door to door sales isn’t too exciting, obviously, but between the solar $$ and the people who you’ll work with it’s a great company.” – Door to Door Sales ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ November 13, 2023

“This job is commission based. Nothing is guaranteed, but if you want to work your butt off you can make more money than you’ve ever imagined. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life, but also the most rewarding.” – Solar Consultant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 6, 2023

Negative reviews:

“Grateful for the learning experience. The people aren’t rude and the intended culture is good. The execution of everything is the problem. The business HEAVILY relies on subcontractors that work for a very lacking company and tend to lead clients to cancel rather than proceed. Moving forward in the company is completely dependent on recruiting and there isn’t much room for growth.” – Energy Consultant ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ September 13, 2023

Positive reviews:

“At first, I was super skeptical about this process. We have had solar companies try to ‘sell’ us panels before, only to be told we didn’t qualify. I am sooo glad we gave Enlighten a chance! I decided to see just how far they would get without me having to pay any money. Turns out, pretty far! I now have solar panels on my home, and I honest to God didn’t spend ONE PENNY! We are a normal family of 6, with not the best credit. But we were approved for the process! Give them a try! If they can help you, it’s totally worth it!! Great customer service too. Everyone we’ve interacted with was super friendly. Just all around good people!” – Nicolina919 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2 years ago

“Elite Home has done an excellent job in educating me, as the home owner, on all the benefits of installing solar panels on my home. I feel like I understand what’s happening and they have been great on talking to me about the process during each phase. I have had a positive experience thus far and will be looking forward to years of service with this company.” – Patricia James ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2 years ago

Negative reviews:

“Super unprofessional. Once I told this salesman we were not interested he REFUSED to leave our front yard. He kept saying ‘I was going to leave but since you were rude I’m not.’ What kind of a salesman does that? I had to call the police on him and they asked him to leave as well. Maybe I would have looked into this in the future BUT if this is how they do business ABSOLUTELY NOT. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!” – Gisselle Landa ⭐☆☆☆☆ 3 years ago

“Installing was a nightmare. Wrong panels on day 1, day 2 they never showed . Day 3 not enough panels and finally day 4 they completed . Caution- sales man was not clear and very misleading. I questioned if any liens were gonna be placed on my house and he said no. He described a UCC-1 as a form just showing that I was not the owner of the panels. Also this company does not represent everbright which whom is the company they loved my PPA in with which you cannot get out of for the 25 year contract without buying it out. You also cannot easily transfer this program to a new buyer for your home which in most cases they are not which I found out.” – Michael Merenda ⭐☆☆☆☆ 6 months ago
