Negative reviews:

“6 of my solar panels are down during this peak of season. I have left voicemals 2 days in a row because there is no other option to speak to a person. I’m still waiting for a response….” – Anete A. ⭐☆☆☆☆ June 20, 2024

“Everything went well with the installation. I gave the 5 stars at that time. HOWEVER, we had our solar panels cleaned last October and were told that some paint had spattered on some of the panels. The house painting company said they were willing to clean them but did not know what might be used to safely do so and advised me to try to find out the manufacturer so they could research. For the past 4 months, I have tried numerous times, at least a dozen times, to contact Epic to get the answer. Email, phone calls, drove to an address that was now empty space and another that was just a mailbox service. I give up. No one has ever had the courtesy to respond to any phone message or email.” – Lynette S. ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 6, 2025

Positive reviews:

“Currently using Epic for a new roof and solar project. Chris Okane has been great. Super helpful, no hard sell, just gives you the info and is there to support you in the decision making and the process. I highly recommend working with Epic and Chris. I will update this review at the completion of the project.” – Benjamin Fewell ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2022

“My experience of working with McKay Kray was with a person that was very knowledgeable and very experienced in his job. He took the time to explained step by step about the PACE program and the benefits of applying for a loan through my mortgage company without me having to put out any funds to improve my home. He was always available to take my calls and the project went smoothly. Its been almost three months since I last spoke to McKay but questions came up in my mind and he was available to answer them and set my mind at ease. Sincerely, Elizabeth and Manuel Cantu…3412 Jordan St. Selma, CA” – leeza cantu ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2020

Negative reviews:

“I’ve been trying to get ahold of them for weeks. I’ve called countless times, left countless voicemails, and sent countless emails and zero response. Decided to take a drive to one of their locations and it’s not even in business anymore. Terrible company.” – Kyler Machado ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2024

“went through epic to get solar panels, a year in and they are no longer working, waited 2 months to finally get them to come out and fix the issue only to find out now that i have to pay $300 for them to replace the part THAT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. Solar Edge is covering the part, but Epic will not cover the labor. 30k down the drain with this company!” – Hulda Silva ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2023

Average Performer

Epic Energy gets the Average Performer badge and works in 3 states, but their third-party ratings don’t go above 4. Local community trust isn’t their strong suit either – their score is 3.5 in our evaluation. This badge means they are somehow reliable, but you need to pay more attention to what they have to offer. While Epic Energy may not lead the pack, they are certainly recognized for their capacity to meet a broad range of solar installation needs with commendable customer satisfaction. When considering this solar installer, you can add Epic Energy to your list as a lower priority and one that requires additional research before you decide to work with them.
