Requested they give a call ahead notice on install day, and sure nuff, when a 1/2 hour out, the call came. The crew of two was very friendly, professional and hard working removing my old solar panels and piping and the new install on a new roof elevation. Hey – Yelp tip; Feel lucky if you get Zachary and his “”twin bro”” Jake. (so they say –LOL) . This pair is awesome. Very respectful of my property and truly flawless workmanship. All demo materials were removed without any OOPSies or oh, ohs! All old anchor installation holes along with the new locations were caulked without a need for a single complaint. They made it very clear they wanted my CRITICAL opinion, of which I simply could not accommodate. I wanted to, but they gave me nothing to go on! The new 4 panel system has been running 3 hours and is already making a HUGE difference in the pool temp. Now have a thermostat to keep the temp. where we need it too finally! “I’ve dealt with this company twice so far since buying a home with a pool about a year ago. Once for a new spa heater install and once to repair solar roof panels. And as much as you never want your pool to need work, The customer service I’ve received from fun in the sun from both the owner, and multiple different employees now has been stellar. “Called the company and explained that my solar was leaking. After speaking to the receptionist the earliest they could come out was 3 weeks and that it would cost me 125.00. I scheduled and they came out and told me that 2 of my panels were leaking and that it was plumbed wrong. Now to make this clear, I have had this system for 11 years and it worked just fine and kept my pool nice and warm. I did not understand how it was plumbed wrong if it has worked for 11 years. With that said I got an estimate of 6500.00 to replace the whole system. I was told that “”these”” type of panels can not be repaired and my only option was to replace them. So I decided to call another company (Revolution Solar and Roofing). After speaking with the the receptionist they had a tech come out within 48 hours. He went up on the roof and only found 1 bad panel and suggest that I cut that panel out and use the other 7 to heat my pool. To me it seems like a logical way to proceed. He explained that my plumbing looked correct and if it was plumbed wrong it would not have worked for 11 years. His suggestion was also not to replace any of the panels until the roof needed to be replaced or until completely necessary. “I purchased a solar system from fun in the sun about a year ago. I trusted them to put the system in the places. Now Im no expert on where to put them. But I do know that they need sunlight to work right. They did tell me where they were putting them. But I just purchased this house a few months before I called them and I have no idea how much sunlight my roof gets. So I relied on them to put them where they get the most sunlight. I’m going to leave some photos and who ever views Them can make up there own mind. aside from that I would give them 5 stars Because of the equipment and service. The only complaint that I have is the placement of the panels. when I asked them why they put them there and they told me that the panels wouldn’t fit in the back of the house where the sun rises. They told me that they could put them back there but it would cost me another 2145.00. I paid almost 9000.00 for the system already. I didn’t tell them to put them where they are now. “I needed a new roof and had to have solar panels removed. I agreed to the $110 per panel for 7 panels take down and reinstall, totaling $1540. Upon removal the price increase by $625. I had a dispute over the additional fee as the math was not adding up. I ended paying the total amount or they would not reinstall $1540+$625 totaling $2,290. I called today as the Variable speed pump they installed was not working and was informed due to the dispute they will no longer service my solar panels, pool pump or plumbing. “If I could leave 10 stars I would. We were able to schedule a sales meeting with Dick pretty quickly. He was amazing, a genuine person with a heart of gold. We found out that this really is a family owned and operated company. We decided to go with Fun in the Sun. Not only did they have better pricing, but the whole sales meeting was a no nonsense, complete clarity sales pitch. We had such a wonderful morning with him. Next comes the contract signing. Everything was done by email and the communication between Dick, Meaghan in the office and my family was constant. They were able to schedule our install the following week, and they were very accommodating due to my having a wonky work schedule. The morning of the install, Adam called me to let me know he was on his way with an approximate arrival time. He was right on time, he let me know when he was at the house and explained the whole process. Again, full clarity. He said it might take about 5 hours and he got right to work. “Very good. The technicians are knowledgeable and capable and they performed the repairs without any issues. They even installed a better relief valve set-up at no extra charge. Though the overall price was a bit high, I felt it was more or less in line with other pool expenses, which tend to run fairly high in the Orlando area. Paid $883 for the major repair and service, and several times have had them out to repair panel or pipe leaks, typically for about $180. “I called about 15 times and kept getting other companies like a chiropractor, an MLS service, a handyman etc. Finally I did reach Fun and Sammy answered. I’m guessing she was frustrated that there were phone issues. She said she had gotten 20 calls from my number today and that she called it back and spoke to a man who was dialing from his pocket. I told her there must be a line crossing issue and suggested that she call her phone provider because she could be losing business. While I was not able to get through to her company I had called 2 other pool companies and had gotten through just fine but I called Fun back because I had used them in the past. She argued that it wasn’t on her side and that she had a land line. I explained it could be an issue at the switch. Our conversation got off on the wrong note and never really recovered. She looked me up and said that they hadn’t been out here for 4 years for a solar panel leak. It sounded to me like maybe I wasn’t important enough since I hadn’t used their services for so long. She then quizzed me about the pump so I went outside to look at it and tell her what I had. She told me that I had an aftermarket motor. I tried to schedule again and she said none of her technicians were available this week because they are all in training. I told her I couldn’t let the pool sit and she said it was out of her control. So I thanked her, hung up and now I will schedule with another company. I will never call Fun In The Sun again due to how my call was handled by Sammy. “I just had Adam and Victor here to replace our pump, chlorinator and valves. They came on time and got everything replaced and up running in about 2 hours. The whole pool equipment now looks so much better a very professional install and they took the time to explain everything to me and programmed the whole system to work efficiently. I could not be happier ONCE AGAIN with their work. Fun in the Sun is a professional company that stands behind their work. They have my respect and appreciation and always exceed my expectations! Update: We were so happy with their first install we had them come back today to install 2 more panels and once again their work was flawless, they were on time and they were polite. You won’t find a better company we highly recommend Fun in the Sun! We just had them come and replace our pool solar system – the old system was 23 years old. James who I worked with to get a quote was fantastic. He was very flexible with scheduling and billing and did everything he could to make the process painless. His team Jacob and Dominic were absolutely wonderful. They arrived on time they worked nonstop. They were polite. They were thorough and they completely explained the new system to me before they left. They also took some nice photos for me up on the roof and they blew off all the leaves out of my gutters and screen room. I had never used this company before, but several of my close neighbors had highly recommended them and now I am extremely happy to report that we can recommend them as well. When we called to schedule a service call we were asked for name of the pump motor – brand name was given to office manager – appointment was scheduled -when tech arrived he informed us that they do not work on this motor brand – he did not physically check out the pump with any tool – he went to his truck – talked to his manager for 20 minutes then said we needed a new pump /motor for around $2,500 then left – we we re still charged the $159.95 service call fee – if in fact they do not work on this brand of motor we should have been told before scheduling the service appointment – would have saved us the unnecessary $159.95 service call fee” – Pruettm1 ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 2025

“I’m not even the owner of the house, tenant, and have to write a review about how they tried to con the home owner. A union joint has a clear pinhole leak that started a couple week ago. I’m pretty sure Phil Swift could’ve done the job, but they quoted the homeowner for a full replacement. The joint isn’t near the panels and I’m absolutely certain the quote was garbage because there was no sign of the leak after the employee left. As in, he didn’t even open the solar panel circuit to gauge where the leak was. Total con job knowing the homeowner wasn’t present. Do not trust these people. Response: you only made my case better from the copy/paste from your tech.
