“We interviewed a couple of different solar companies when we started looking to install a solar system on our home. We chose future energy savers because their services met our needs. And they would allow us to buy the system outright. They were very helpful in designing the system to our special needs. We wanted specific installation locations for both the panels and the box as well as our EV charger. They were very helpful and made excellent suggestions. The installation went very smoothly and quickly. They even ran the conduit at my request up under the eaves to hide them and I provided the paint and they painted them to match my house. The installers were very graceful, professional, and accommodating. We would highly recommend them. “I used Future Energy Savers on an old property back in 2015. Had excellent service then so when it came time to change the roof and add solar to my current residence, they were at the top of the list. They quickly sent a sales team out to look at our electrical situation and to provide quotes for different sized systems, working with my future energy use plans as well as my current usage. They weren’t the cheapest option, but I knew I was getting quality materials from their Generac system. The installation was quick but thorough, making sure everything worked and promptly replacing anything that didn’t. They showed me how to use the Generac PWRview app on my phone to monitor my energy collection and use. Overall, they were amazing with everyone courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. “Future Energy Savers presented a very convincing sales pitch about the quality of their solar systems and especially about the 25-year warranty on all the components. It was sold as a worry-free installation that would continue to provide electricity once the initial investment was recouped by lowered energy bills. This was fine until an inverter went out only six years after the system was installed. When I called for warranty service, I was shocked to discover that they wanted to charge me $325 for the service. Nowhere in the original sales pitch, company documentation, or my signed contract does it say anything about a fee for warranty service. In fact, the attached sales-pitch documentation specifies “Solar Parts and Labor Warranty!” They’re now trying to tell me that that statement referred to the original installation only! They have refused to acknowledge that this is misleading and unethical, and now refuse to provide warranty service without the payment of this fee every time they have to come out. I have a total of 34 warranted components on my system (17 panels and 17 inverters). “Had system installed 4yrs ago and was told that with this system I would be in a tier 2 so far in the last 4 yrs I have been able to get into a tier 3 for maybe 3 months of the year have contacted company several times with questions on systems ability only to be told that the system is performing correctly and that I am just using to much electricity I thought the idea of solar was to be able to use electricity during the day when the sun was charging the system boy was I misled stay away from this company because they will sell you the system and then forget you their customer service sucks.” – K&k ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 2, 2015

“From the door-to-door sale, the in-home consultation, installation, inspection, and final permitting … all services were 5stars! And the people who represented Future Energy were extremely nice and helpful. We literally interviewed a half dozen other local companies and had decided against getting solar, none of them could make the numbers work for us. But Future Energy did. What sold us was the fact that we own the panels thus not forfeiting the tax credit and not having to worry about “selling” our debt if we decide to sell our house. We also liked the fact that the panels are American made, and they look really nice … like flat screens, plus the company has been around for decades and not just riding the wave of “popular solar”. Another biggie for us was the monitoring system and the micro-inverters system. But most of all we wanted to get ahead of the continued rise in electrical cost. “Future Energy Savers did a fantastic job on the solar installation on my parent’s previous home in Wilton. The owners Jeff and Jona were actually my basketball coaches in elementary school. I saw the family, at a friends funeral several months back. I have a pretty gnarly traumatic brain injury ( 6 month coma) because of my brain injury. I have a very unique gate ( walk). I also don’t speak the clearest. Jona proceeded to laugh at me wall we were at a funeral for a woman who prayed for me tirelessly to wake up and recover from said coma. “Door to door salesperson ignored the CLEARLY posted no soliciting sign. I politely told her NUMEROUS times that I am not interested which she would ignore and continue on with her sales pitch when she initially said she “wasn’t there to sell me anything” and then got snarky with me when I politely asked her to leave my property. In the event I do decide to get solar, I will not be giving my business to a company that trains such disrespectful, lying, illiterate employees. “The installation started at 8 am as scheduled and was completed in 5 hours, leaving me a running solar system at 1 PM. The installer explained every aspect of the system that I wanted to know. He segregated my important house circuits and rewired them to the emergency panel which is battery powered on loss of utility supply. He explained the use of the control panel which has 5 operating modes at my control, and the use of the Generac Powerview app which gives the daily energy production, house consumption as well as output to the Utility. I now have near zero utility input on the worst summer day. I feel comfort in the system’s backup capability in case of a utility blackout. My battery now covers my house loads and shields me from rising utility rates during peak hours. “The salesman who calculated how much I would “save” with solar panels conveniently left out a $20/month charge which misled me greatly. They also give out money for good reviews around the internet, so everything you see is just people saying the good stuff to get the money they were promised. Extremely dishonest. “Although we had a bit of a misunderstanding in the beginning, we were able to resolve the issue. In the end we were very happy with the final product. Once we were able to schedule the appointment, everything else up to the final installation went smoothly. The installer was knowledgeable and detailed at explaining the solar panel system. They did a very clean job and even helped with labeling our circuit breaker box. Just be patient and follow up with scheduling or if you have any questions regarding the loan agreement. They will work with you so that you’re satisfied. The guy shows up an hour and a half late so I wasted my time sitting around waiting for him. Then he gets there with a lame excuse. We drive another 10 miles to the site and he tells me they don’t do off grid systems. I wasted 6 hours of my time getting up in the middle of the night to be on time for nothing. “Absolutely unacceptable experience. This company has harassed me with constant calls, texts, and even uninvited visits to my home—despite repeatedly asking them to stop. I never gave them permission to contact me in the first place. It felt aggressive, invasive, and completely unprofessional.
