Panel OptionsMonocrystalline Solar Panels: Advantages: High efficiency and performance. Disadvantages: Higher costs compared to other types. These panels are made from a single crystal structure, resulting in better energy conversion. Ideal for homeowners seeking maximum efficiency and space-saving solutions. Polycrystalline Solar Panels: Advantages: Lower costs. Disadvantages: Slightly lower efficiency than monocrystalline panels. These panels consist of silicon fragments, making them more affordable. Great for larger roofs where space is not a constraint. Thin-Film Solar Panels: Advantages: Portable and flexible. Disadvantages: Lower efficiency compared to crystalline panels. Thin-film panels are lightweight and suitable for DIY projects, RVs, and boats. They’re less efficient but offer versatility in installation.
Battery InstallationsPWRcell Energy Storage System: Integrates solar generation and smart battery storage using a single, powerful inverter. Restores power to your home’s circuits in under a second when the grid goes down. Multi-day outages are no problem; a single PWRcell battery cabinet can store up to 18kW of energy. When paired with a new solar installation, it can charge directly from the sun for extended power without the grid. Generac Backup Battery Installation: Professionally installed by Future Energy Savers. Ensures your power supply during outages. Store YOUR power with a Battery Backup System.

What do Customers Say about the Future Energy Savers?

solarreviews.com

Positive reviews:

“We interviewed a couple of different solar companies when we started looking to install a solar system on our home. We chose future energy savers because their services met our needs. And they would allow us to buy the system outright. They were very helpful in designing the system to our special needs. We wanted specific installation locations for both the panels and the box as well as our EV charger. They were very helpful and made excellent suggestions. The installation went very smoothly and quickly. They even ran the conduit at my request up under the eaves to hide them and I provided the paint and they painted them to match my house. The installers were very graceful, professional, and accommodating. We would highly recommend them. The only regret we have is we didn’t buy more battery capacity.” – Brad Adams ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 15, 2025

“I used Future Energy Savers on an old property back in 2015. Had excellent service then so when it came time to change the roof and add solar to my current residence, they were at the top of the list. They quickly sent a sales team out to look at our electrical situation and to provide quotes for different sized systems, working with my future energy use plans as well as my current usage. They weren’t the cheapest option, but I knew I was getting quality materials from their Generac system. The installation was quick but thorough, making sure everything worked and promptly replacing anything that didn’t. They showed me how to use the Generac PWRview app on my phone to monitor my energy collection and use. Overall, they were amazing with everyone courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. I don’t plan on moving anytime soon, but, if for some reason I do, and need solar (or roofing), Future Energy would be my go to hands down.” – A.J. Meinke ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 8, 2025

Negative reviews:

“Future Energy Savers presented a very convincing sales pitch about the quality of their solar systems and especially about the 25-year warranty on all the components. It was sold as a worry-free installation that would continue to provide electricity once the initial investment was recouped by lowered energy bills. This was fine until an inverter went out only six years after the system was installed. When I called for warranty service, I was shocked to discover that they wanted to charge me $325 for the service. Nowhere in the original sales pitch, company documentation, or my signed contract does it say anything about a fee for warranty service. In fact, the attached sales-pitch documentation specifies “Solar Parts and Labor Warranty!” They’re now trying to tell me that that statement referred to the original installation only! They have refused to acknowledge that this is misleading and unethical, and now refuse to provide warranty service without the payment of this fee every time they have to come out. I have a total of 34 warranted components on my system (17 panels and 17 inverters). The first went out after only six years, so if this continues, I will be looking at having to pay another $11,050 in service fees over the life of the warranty.” – Denis F ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 23, 2021

“Had system installed 4yrs ago and was told that with this system I would be in a tier 2 so far in the last 4 yrs I have been able to get into a tier 3 for maybe 3 months of the year have contacted company several times with questions on systems ability only to be told that the system is performing correctly and that I am just using to much electricity I thought the idea of solar was to be able to use electricity during the day when the sun was charging the system boy was I misled stay away from this company because they will sell you the system and then forget you their customer service sucks.” – K&k ⭐☆☆☆☆ January 2, 2015

Positive reviews:

“We said ‘yes’ to an energy evaluation. Then ‘yes’ again to PV installation. Gas price rising & other families are saving. Once we decided YES, installation was quick & efficient. A few WiFi issues showed their customer service as caring & efficient we have full documentation everything meets building code & PG & E requirements. We have fun monitoring our energy production & use on the app. Future Energy Savers (Generac Power System) has been a positive experience on multiple levels. Happy we said Yes!!” – Donna M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 1, 2022

“From the door-to-door sale, the in-home consultation, installation, inspection, and final permitting … all services were 5stars! And the people who represented Future Energy were extremely nice and helpful. We literally interviewed a half dozen other local companies and had decided against getting solar, none of them could make the numbers work for us. But Future Energy did. What sold us was the fact that we own the panels thus not forfeiting the tax credit and not having to worry about “selling” our debt if we decide to sell our house. We also liked the fact that the panels are American made, and they look really nice … like flat screens, plus the company has been around for decades and not just riding the wave of “popular solar”. Another biggie for us was the monitoring system and the micro-inverters system. But most of all we wanted to get ahead of the continued rise in electrical cost. I would highly recommend Future Energy!!” – Tasha R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 13, 2017

Negative reviews:

“Do not open your home to this company. They bang in the doors of homes with NO SOLICITING signs. The sales rep Nate knocked and yelled to me through the door so loudly that he woke me up from a nap. Instead of being apologetic in any way of when I notified him of my no soliciting sign he bragged that I was welcome to call his boss or the cops. This is not just the problem of a single employee…. There are SO MANY complaints on yelp and google and Facebook of this same exact problem happening to other people. This means the MANAGEMENT ARE ENCOURAGING THIS ILLEGAL AND UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. Do not invite this unapologetic company to work on your home.” – Yelp R. ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 3, 2025

“Future Energy Savers did a fantastic job on the solar installation on my parent’s previous home in Wilton. The owners Jeff and Jona were actually my basketball coaches in elementary school. I saw the family, at a friends funeral several months back. I have a pretty gnarly traumatic brain injury ( 6 month coma) because of my brain injury. I have a very unique gate ( walk). I also don’t speak the clearest. Jona proceeded to laugh at me wall we were at a funeral for a woman who prayed for me tirelessly to wake up and recover from said coma. I’m appalled at this, given her husband owns one of the largest and most prominent solar companies in Sacramento. To reiterate, the company did an amazing job!” – Jared G. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ July 2, 2025

Positive reviews:

“We are very happy with our experience with Future Energy Savers. Everyone from the sales team to the installation team was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful with their explanations to all of our questions. We notice a savings in our bill immediately and even more so now that the weather is getting warmer and we are using more electricity.” – Chanda B ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 9, 2025

“We are very pleased with our Solar installation. The crew was very professional, polite, and helped educate us on our new system. My questions after installation are always addressed promptly. I loved they are pro-veteran! I would recommend Future Energy Savers to anyone looking to add Solar to their home.” – Carolyn B ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ June 3, 2023

Negative reviews:

“Ownership and management is terrible. Lots of unfair work *********************** Unsafe work conditions, poor pay, borderline hostile work environment, almost no real benefits. One of the worst places I’ve ever worked. Very apparent the poor leadership affects employee retention.” – Cole L ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 11, 2025

“Door to door salesperson ignored the CLEARLY posted no soliciting sign. I politely told her NUMEROUS times that I am not interested which she would ignore and continue on with her sales pitch when she initially said she “wasn’t there to sell me anything” and then got snarky with me when I politely asked her to leave my property. In the event I do decide to get solar, I will not be giving my business to a company that trains such disrespectful, lying, illiterate employees. I can see why there are so many fake paid reviews as all of the low rated reviews had the exact same experience I just did today.” – Donovan B ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 4, 2023

Positive reviews:

“When I first applied here on Indeed, I didn’t even know this was a solar company. I have learned so much here, Learning how to talk with people in a different way then I ever did while in food customer service. Yes, its challenging. Yes, its a lot of pressure. To work here you need to have thick skin, and a want to be better each and every day. Sometimes it will feel like life is beating you down. But will you stand back up and fight harder, or let the pain of each failure block you from your success? “Rome wasn’t built in a day” Trust me when I say that I’ve had my doubts. Even now I still do. But even if its learning to have thicker skin and learn how to not take no for an answer, every day I still learn something new. Its a challenge for sure. But, every day I focus on improving myself. Last of all, for any of you who read this far, just take my advice. Give it some time. Its going to be very scary on your first few days. Weeks, even. Give it a chance, and you just might be surprised to see where it takes you.” – Canvasser ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 7, 2023

“Good job door to door make leads and get extra bonus love the co workers short hours did not really have any issues with managment love the part of saving on gas and meeting new people.” – Sales Representative ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 20, 2022

Negative reviews:

“Overall not a terrible experience, but this is not an entry level job, you will be eaten up, although once you get the hang of the job you can make a lot of money but it is not promised, you’re also in a probation for about 90 days and in those they can fire you for literally anything 4/10 company” – Canvassing ⭐⭐☆☆☆ March 11, 2025

“This place has basically drained me of any type of life left in me not to mention they have double standards so if they don’t like you they make your life miserable and then you have to turn around and deal with disrespectful customers and still put a smile on your face for the next door because your goal is to get four and if you don’t get four a day you get fired.” – Canvasser ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 2, 2022

Positive reviews:

“The decision to purchase solar has been an ongoing conversation for a few years now. When we finally decided to go forward, we considered bids from three companies but decided on Future Energy Savers. It was evident to us from Future Energy Savers Consultant Kevin to the engineer and installers, everyone was knowledgeable about their aspect of the solar equipment and use. Whenever we have an inquiry, we were met with prompt and efficient responses. When we researched the material and presentation of solar panels, we also recognized their superior quality. Since January our energy bills have been considerably lower. We are very happy with our purchase.” – Anita F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 2022

“The installation started at 8 am as scheduled and was completed in 5 hours, leaving me a running solar system at 1 PM. The installer explained every aspect of the system that I wanted to know. He segregated my important house circuits and rewired them to the emergency panel which is battery powered on loss of utility supply. He explained the use of the control panel which has 5 operating modes at my control, and the use of the Generac Powerview app which gives the daily energy production, house consumption as well as output to the Utility. I now have near zero utility input on the worst summer day. I feel comfort in the system’s backup capability in case of a utility blackout. My battery now covers my house loads and shields me from rising utility rates during peak hours. The components of the system are warranted for 25 years, except the battery which goes for just 10 years. Overall I am very satisfied with the system.” – Ben S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 2021

“The salesman who calculated how much I would “save” with solar panels conveniently left out a $20/month charge which misled me greatly. They also give out money for good reviews around the internet, so everything you see is just people saying the good stuff to get the money they were promised. Extremely dishonest. I would not trust.” – Matt W. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ November 2020

Positive reviews:

“Although we had a bit of a misunderstanding in the beginning, we were able to resolve the issue. In the end we were very happy with the final product. Once we were able to schedule the appointment, everything else up to the final installation went smoothly. The installer was knowledgeable and detailed at explaining the solar panel system. They did a very clean job and even helped with labeling our circuit breaker box. Just be patient and follow up with scheduling or if you have any questions regarding the loan agreement. They will work with you so that you’re satisfied. Update after one year we are very satisfied with the solar panels and it lowered our electrical bills about $200 to be precise!” – Gorgus Gray Goldgar ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 2023

“Great service from Future Energy on the solar system they sold and installed. From the initial contact with the sales rep to follow-up from office staff, engineer and installation techs—all representatives from this company have been prompt, friendly, professional. Very happy with my system; I had previously consulted five other solar companies and none could come up with a reasonable system/price because my energy usage is so low for my small house. Future Energy Savers made my dream of going solar a reality, and the whole process, from sales and financing (at a competitive rate) to installation and final inspection, took less than a month. Highly recommend this company!” – Marianne Dresser ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 2019

Negative reviews:

“I made it perfectly clear to the sales person that this has to be an off grid system. I confirmed this several times as well. The guy shows up an hour and a half late so I wasted my time sitting around waiting for him. Then he gets there with a lame excuse. We drive another 10 miles to the site and he tells me they don’t do off grid systems. I wasted 6 hours of my time getting up in the middle of the night to be on time for nothing. This is a very poorly run company. Find someone else to install your system” – Thomas Bartos ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 18, 2025

“Absolutely unacceptable experience. This company has harassed me with constant calls, texts, and even uninvited visits to my home—despite repeatedly asking them to stop. I never gave them permission to contact me in the first place. It felt aggressive, invasive, and completely unprofessional. If this is how they treat people before a sale, I can’t imagine what working with them would be like afterward. Avoid at all costs. They continue to call me and harass me. I am reporting them to BBB.” – Tyler Wright ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 18, 2025
