“I signed with Goldin in 2020 for my solar and have been very pleased with the continued support and reliability in the company. My installation went great but what has impressed me is that they actually have a proper service team to support their installs. I had an inverter issue and they were prompt to respond to my service request I put in on their site, their service tech both times I had a problem showed up when expected and was very polite. “Goldin installed a new solar system with Tesla batteries as well as new roof, and did a good job. System worked well. Then roof started leaking, and Goldin fell apart. Clearly, they don’t know anything about customer service. They took a long time to respond and get someone out to stop the leak. Many phone calls went unreturned. Interior damage was done. Ultimately, I bought a tarp and covered the area myself. It has now been 5 months and they still have not repaired the damage. They don’t return phone calls, and their scheduler Michael is downright rude. I truly wonder how they stay in business. I gave them 2 stars because the first part of what they did was good — though the terrible post-install service should probably have earned them only one star. It was a mistake to trust them to do the roof — they are in the solar business and they clearly don’t give a damn about roof problems, much less the damage caused by leaks. “I was initially reluctant to go to a third party contractor for installation of my Tesla Powerwalls. My Powerwalls were installed 5-6 months ago, and I waited to put a review out, because I wanted to see how it would do for the summer. I could not be more pleased with the work that was done and the robustness of the network. The project was completed quickly and way ahead of schedule. Bumps along the way were addressed efficiently by knowledgeable and friendly technicians and front office staff. “I would not use this company ever again in my life, they nickel and dime you for everything. The equipment being used is junk, I have had problems since it was installed. The optimizer has been replaced. All the parts for the solar panels have been replaced and they’re damaged again. Seek elsewhere if you’re looking for help in my opinion. It’s one thing to charge for repairs that happen like anything else, but it’s been one problem after the next and the next. “I have had nothing but terrible experience with them. They provided me with panels that do not produce enough to cover my electric. The inverter has broken 2x since my installation in 2018. I currently am 2 months without the inverter. Now I am paying an electric bill and solar loan payment. No one answers there calls and maybe 1 out of 6 calls will be returned. Everyone that has great reviews are most likely new customers. I loved them at first as well. Wait until things start breaking then see how you feel. They were not transparent at all about the tax credit. Took 4 years to get 30% at the time back. Wasn’t worth to put into the loan. I have felt scammed from the beginning. I should have known better. “We were completely blindsided by Goldin Solar. Workers are not truthful and will say anything for you to sign a work order and then bill you. We bought a new house with Goldin Solar panels installed on the roof. Two years later we received a call from Goldin Solar saying they have to replace the inverter in our system according to the manufacturer. They told us in many different ways (on the phone and in writing) that it was under warranty and that we did not need not to pay anything. “Goldin added a 2nd level of panels and batteries at a cost of 31k+.that began April, 2024. There were issues with the installation and they sent a tech out in June to repair. The next step was for GS to issue a revised plan to FPL. It is now, September and the revised plan has not been submitted. Consequently, FPL cannot hook the system because the plan has not been submitted. We have no benefits from the 2nd level of panels.We have called and text the owner, texted the company Representative at least eight times, left phone messages and they refuse to respond. NOT ONE WORD. We are out of 30K with no resolution. We have called FPL and they too are waiting on GS. As paid customers, they have abandoned their service and promise. What is required on the Revised plan is simple. Do not understand why they refuse to contact us with ANY status updates. Very disappointing! The minute the plans permit was approved by the city, we had a bill in our inbox – we paid immediately only to have to hound them for any future communication. The promised 4-6 weeks to schedule installation was in fact 4 months. The 2 week installation took 6 weeks. And then again the minute they had the permit in hand (even though the system was not running properly yet) they billed us and emailed and called and couldn’t communicate with us enough.
