“Great Sky was just a great company to work with from start to finish. The front end rep was knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. The team that did the install was professional and efficient. The quality of the install was excellent. I see so many installs where the conduit is poorly done and is an eyesore on the house — the great sky team’s install looks beautiful! The bottom line price was not the the absolute cheapest, but I loved being able to compare apples to apples through the Energy Sage platform and select the system that was best for me. “Great Sky Solar designed a bespoke ground mount array for my property, and was very flexible about positioning it so as to fit in with the esthetics of the landscape and avoid needlessly taking down trees. It has been now 20 months without an electric bill and the 21-panel Solar System installed by Great Sky has worked flawlessly. I can view the performance using the ENPHASE monitor. Great Sky was as perfect as it can get with design, installation and commissioning. Winter, summer, spring, or fall the panels have been maintenance-free. I thought the Great Sky team was wonderful to work with and they answered every question I had. My roof, which has multiple “lines” and facing directions, was analyzed to provide the most cost-effective solution. As an environmental and efficiency Professional Engineer, this attention to detail was something I love for my wallet as well as the planet. “This is an competent company from a technical/installation standpoint- they provided me with careful analytics when planning the solar project at my home, and showed up when promised to install the system. But in terms of maintenance and repair, they are unbelievably unresponsive and irresponsible. When my solar system stopped working for some unknown reason, they failed to respond effectively to my requests (made by phone and email) to schedule a repair or even to troubleshoot the problem. When I finally received a response, they promised to show up and failed to do so. The company is very good at taking their customers’ money and doing a competent installation. But they are completely unreliable in terms of systems maintenance and customer service. There are many other solar installers out there. “The work crew is the beat part of the company, all friendly and motivated individuals. The office staff is the downfall of this place. Lack of communication and no real care of anyone else but themselves and quick to point fingers if something goes wrong or just blame someone else for why a task didn’t happen. You’re expected to do other tasks that aren’t in your job description and do them for free basically with no incentive to do said task. “Would highly recommend Great Sky Solar. After being turned off from solar by highly misleading and deceptive proposals from other solar companies had basically lost interest. Then after speaking with a rep from Energy Sage, an independent agency not affiliated with any solar installer or company, they had provided sufficient information to again spark our interest and provided a few recommendations for installers. From our first encounter with Great Sky Solar, which just happened to be with the owner, to the completion of the installation and final inspections, experienced openness, honestly and professionally. The project was completes as promised, as scheduled, and completely clean (which I find unusual especially involving electricians). “The gray sky solar transit connect van traveling southbound on 495 (around exit 59 at 9:15AM on 7/28/23) was driving quite recklessly behind me. Apparently 75 in a 65 zone is not fast enough for them while I am trying to pass other vehicles, so they were tailgating me, only a couple feet behind my vehicles and looked to be aggressively verbally upset signaling me to move over. I am in the process of considering solar panels for my home. I have quotes from two other solar installers, summit solar and Revision energy. Called him back (maybe a dozen times). Called the main office (3-4 times). Was assured SOMEONE would get back to me. Have not heard a thing. Have moved on with another company.
