“After going through various quotes/vendors here on EnergySage and elsewhere I settled on Green Muscle Solar for my Prescott, AZ install. Through my own research I had spec’d out my own system and found GMS to be very competitive out of the gate and more importantly it was clear to me they had the experience and expertise to carry out my requested solar build. We went with 36 – REC Pure Alpha 405 panels with Enphase IQ8M micro inverters. The system from beginning to end was completed ahead of schedule and the end result was a very clean and perfectly working system right from the get go. “I highly recommend NOT! using this company. Brent and Jim are unprofessional and dishonest. When they were caught substituting/switching products that were provided in the plans and specifications, without any notification or approval, we pointed this out to them and asked for work to stop. We questioned them about this with the plans and specs they provided to us, which supports our assertions, and the relationship turned adversarial. Jim & Brent got caught and refuse to accept responsibility for their bad faith business tactics. They tried to blame the switch of specified products on supply chain issues. I pointed out that I contacted CED GreenTech, a national electrical supply company and that there were over 7000 standoff bases in California in two locations and the composition shingle flashings were available too. Then the excuse changed to “We meant our local supplier Wesco”. Additionally, they disabled an existing exterior lighting circuit inoperable and refuse to fix. They continue their attempts to gaslight us stating we told their employee to cut and disable that electrical circuit and they won’t fix it because its not in their contract. We have made multiple attempts to resolve the issues that we pointed out to them and had no success with our final attempt on October 27th, 2022. We have filed a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and will post the results once decided. We are extremely unhappy and will use remedies identified in the Solar Purchase Agreement signed 5 1/2 months ago. This should have been a red flag when we surpassed the estimated 6-7-week timeline. “We got solar installed March of 2025. Was a fine experience in the beginning and we went with them because they offered a good price. But now we seem to still owe APS each month like $10-$50, which they said we shouldn’t owe anything because we should be storing up extra in the winter. We have been trying to get ahold of someone to come assess our usage and see if we need an extra panel or why we are still owing APS, and nobody is returning our phone calls or emails and it’s extremely frustrating.
