“We elected to go with Green Street Solar for our new house rather than the company our builder owns and recommended. The builder claimed their offer included a discount for $10K since we were building with them. However, Green Street Solar’s price was 35% less. In addition, after doing some research on the panels offered, Green Street Solar uses the #1 ranked panel (& made in the U.S.A., Q-Cell. While the builder’s company was offering a “knock-off” brand made in China. The system was installed on-time, within one-day, and we were up and running only a few days later. “2 years after install roof began leaking because they did not properly flash and seal the mounts. They did not understand that strong winds can force rain under Shingles left canted up by over pressure from the bolts. 3 failed repair calls did jot solve the issues. 10 years later I had 54 leaking penetrations and had to replace several sheets of sheathing and some roof rafter sections. 2 years of lower than expected SRECs caused me to check the paperwork they prepared only to find they gave the incorrect azimuth of 190 (east) instead of the correct 240 (south) which had cost me $1500 in lost SRECS! When I repaired my roof, one panel had not been in the circuit, it had been plugged into it self! I just replaced the Inverter finding it also had not been wired correctly losing me around 15-20% production for 12 years! Thousands more lost dollars.” – Jen M. ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 2019

After all the necessary paperwork was completed, the installation was simple. The crew came early, were respectful and efficient. I am now enjoying living off the grid pretty much. From Destany Chandler the point of contact and continued supporter, to Beth Blake, our sales person, and to the entire installation team who patiently answered all my questions and worked so quickly and respectfully on my install, I don’t think this process could have been any better. The panels were placed so perfectly that they are barely noticeable on my home. Best of all though, my electric bill for the last several months has just been $35 down from an all time high of over $500! “We loved this company when we had our solar installed in 2019. Now that there is a problem, I am left to deal with a snotty receptionist. UPDATE: Tech person did call and told me how to correct problem. Receptionist sent 12 minute video which would have been appropriate if we had changed our internet provider or router password WHICH I TOLD HER WAS NOT THE CASE. When tech person called, he told me to re-boot the outdoor panel, basically shutting the system down and back up. The fix took five seconds. “The initial site visit with Grees Street to get a quotation went very well. The salesman was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He quickly came up with a solar panel layout design that looked very good. One issue that came up is that the roof is 14 years old and he suggested that we get that roof section replaced, so he included a price for the roof replacement in his estimate. I found that the cost of roof replacement technically cannot be included in the 30% federal tax credit, so he suggested that we contract out the roofing contract ourselves. He gave me the name of roofing contractor where he got his original pricing for the roof replacement. I had the contractor come out and price the job. Unfortunately, their price was almost twice of what they originally quoted to Green Street. They would not honor the first quote because they said the roof area is larger than the original quote included. I also had pricing from two other roofing companies, but the Green Street recommended roofer was still cheaper, so I had them replace the roof and they did a very good job. The solar panel install went very well with no issues and the system has been running for a couple weeks now and it is performing as designed.
