Positive Aspects

• Financial Results & Savings: Electric bills have dropped dramatically—we’re talking from $300+ down to under $30, or even hitting $0 with credits rolling over.
• Customer Service & Professionalism: The sales folks don’t pressure you. They are honest and knowledgeable, and they will take the time to answer your questions without hurrying you.
• Quality and speed of installation: Icon doesn’t subcontract out the work as some other firms do. Instead, they utilize their own staff, which is seen in the quality of the final job.
• Honest and helpful ways of doing things: They explain what will actually happen, offer you realistic estimates on how much energy will be produced, and back it up with a guarantee of at least that amount.

Bad Things

• Tax Credit Misrepresentation (One Isolated Case): A person got into difficulty when their salesman promised them that the federal tax credit would come in the form of a cheque from the IRS. It turns out that it only lowers what you owe on taxes, which messed up their financial planning and made their payments more than they thought they would be.
• Possible Wrong Company Review (Internal Employment Issue): An ex-appointment setter complained online about not getting paid commissions at “Icon Solar,” but the owner says this person worked for a different company entirely since they operate in totally different states.
• System Monitoring “Blip”: One customer mentioned their monitoring software glitched out and lost a day’s worth of data, though the system itself kept generating power just fine.
