“I called IQ Solar for a warranty repair to a system they did not install. The company who installed it is now out of business. The issues have been nonstop with the inverter company but Danielle Martinez at IQ has been more than amazing. I am now going on my 3rd replacement to the original inverter in as many months. Danielle as well as Kristina and IQ have treated me as if I purchased the system from them. Danielle has gone above and beyond for me trying to deal with the inverter manufacturer. “The previous owners were the suckers that paid for this unreliable system. It came with the house at no premium. My realtor says they are of no value in resale either. The system seems to work sporadically so I may have a bill for $40 and then the next month for $225. IQ wants $400 to come check it out even when their computer says it is producing. Duke requires about 2 hours on the phone to tell you there is nothing wrong on their side. “The sales person, Rory, lied about solar power. I had contracted with this company to install solar panels for the sole purpose of providing electricity in the event a storm took out the grid. My wife uses a vent to sleep and needs electricity. We were told unequivocally that this system would do just that. So I spent $23,000 to install the panels. One day we lost power due to a storm and our electricity went out. When I called the company we were told that when the grid goes down so does the solar panels. I asked, ‘What good are solar panels if I still need Florida Power and Light’? I was told that even with battery backup my system still had to be connected to the grid. Apparently this is Florida law that I should have known. In addition, they financed the installation with ISPC, a company who put a lien on my property and listed the loan as a credit card on my credit report. This company charges a fee to pay them, a fee to receive an invoice, a fee to not have direct debit……it’s ridiculoous. So now I’m stuck with a system I don’t want.” – Vinny R ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 1, 2022

“After 3 visits by the IQ Power technician we have yet to have our system restored to the original performance.Service bordered on ‘worst seen to date’. The original technician had never seen the system before, admitted as much in the first visit and left without performing any services. Second visit, a recharge of the system was allegedly performed after which the system control panel, overflow system and reservoir rendered unusable and disconnected. Called IQ Power to remedy the aforementioned unfinished work problem only to have the technician, in attempting to reconcile previous IQ Power induced problems, ‘isolate’ the system and bring a $25,000 solar system to near ruin. When we called ‘customer service’ (it is a ruse) to inform them of an impending catastrophic failure of the system the comment from the service (not) representative was a terse ‘Mr. XXX, I have ten issues I’m working right now and I don’t have time to speak with you’. CLICK.I have personally resolved the immediate problem of what would have been a complete failure of the system and have received ‘the square-root of zero’ support from IQ Power.My recommendation is simple, stay away…far, far away!A follow-up email to the CEO of Schuco (admittedly the finest solar panels made) is forthcoming. The system was installed in late November and turned on a few weeks later. Within a day I noticed a panel not producing. I called and they sent a tech a few days later. He stated there was a faulty temperature sensor and they would replace the panel. One month later nobody has called I have had to call the company three times looking for updates. I’m told the same thing every time ‘They’re waiting to hear from their warranty department. meanwhile I am keeping up my end of the bargain and paying my monthly installments for system that isn’t functioning properly.It wasn’t even running for a week and it had defective parts! “I’ve got there system. They didn’t install enough panels even though I told them it wouldn’t be enough for my situation. The solar hot water heater is garbage. It worked good at first but since the first winter it froze up and hasn’t worked right since. I haven’t had hot water for months and I can’t get them to do a service call. I’ve called and messaged them many times with no response. Steve the owner assured me when he talked me into the system that I would be a fast service call since I live in Sanford near the shop. I’m taking out the hot water heater this weekend myself and installing a instaheat water heater. I’m also going to stop payment on the system.
