While on my roof for the initial estimate, Kevin noticed a dry-rotted seal and brought it to my attention, which I really appreciated. We switched from 5-inch to 6-inch gutters and every step of the process was done promptly and professionally. Even after the initial install when I needed one minor correction, I never felt like a lesser priority. I was not charged until the work was done to my complete satisfaction. “My roof was leaking and Joyland came to give an estimate. They offered a much better warranty and noticed other things that needed repair. They came with a full crew after a snow storm, cleared the snow off the roof, and finished in one day. All my questions were answered clearly. Not knowing whether I needed a repair or replacement, I needed them to assess it first — they would not come out for less than $250. “This company is impossible to contact — they do not respond to emails or phone calls in a timely manner. They were told I wanted a repair estimate only. After finally getting the insurance company to agree to come out, they ignored my instructions and only wanted to replace the entire roof. They sent a rude email refusing to write the repair estimate. The insurance company confirmed the damage is storm-related. “I can’t say anything about the quality of the job since I never went that far. First, I was misled to about when my appointment would be and then I was given the runaround about why it was moved. Second, they dispatched a team to my home without checking to see whether I would be there or if I had given them permission. Third, on the day of the planned work, I contacted half an hour before they were supposed to arrive and was assured everything was on time. I waited 2.5 hours, then received an email indicating they couldn’t come. “I had Joyland install a rubber roof on a commercial building. They came back 3 times for leaks. When it leaked a fourth time I brought in another roofer to fix everything — he said it looked like unqualified people did the work and I would have issues going forward. Now I have a new roof full of patches and they want me to pay full price.
