“Legacy Solar assisted me with the installation and commissioning of my grid-tie 5kW solar PV array at my cabin in Danbury, WI. Kris Schmid provided advice and guidance in the integration of system components, expert installation of system components and support with coordinating with the electric company. He assisted me in applying for the available financial incentives. Kris is flexible and innovative in providing his services for custom solar energy projects.” – WalkingEagle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 20, 2017
“Working with Legacy Solar was one of the best experiences Ive every had with a contractor, and Ive hired many of them over the years. I would recommend these guys to anyone for any size job. And their prices are very competitive and the workmanship is all quality.” – Anonymous ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 18, 2013
Negative reviews:
“Their mission is to scam people in a high pressured sales pitch by reps who misrepresent the company and sales. Rep who sold pkg sd he was with Simple Energy representing Legacy Solar. We bought pkg for panels and generator and were promised lower energy bills and unlimited svc even when weather was bad. Installers left trash all over my garage and yard. After many delays, panels finally worked, per Company. 1st storm came by; no svc for 8 hours. When finally got someone to answer, was told we did not have that pkg, but could purchase a battery pack for ano $5k. Our energy bills are higher every month. A mgr (Keaton Taylor) came out and spoke w my daughter saying they would call me. I left messages and sent emails with no response. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.” – MPR ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 21, 2023
“I truly felt scammed by this company. The salesperson lied in order to get me to switch from a previous company I was with to go with Legacy. I was told the system would power my entire house including air and heating system, if a power outage would occur. I later found out that was not true. I was also told I would receive a check for 2500 two weeks after the system was install for going solar and to assist with the 1st year of payments, which was another lie. Installation timing was horrible. The process began in February of 2022; the system wasn’t fully installed until December. There was equipment sitting on the ground behind my home from July until November 15. Multiple days taken off of work because of the system installation. I was also told by the salesperson I would receive weekly calls from him or someone in the company until all work was complete. I received two calls. I had to reach out for all other updates. The most recent lie was me calling to make a compliant. I was told that I could receive 2 two of the 3 payments back that was made on the system. Per their policy they couldn’t give me all 3 payments made before installation of the system was complete, but when I reached to the sales rep about this prior to completion of system; he stated that Legacy would refund any payments made. I would receive the refund of payments along with the 2500.” – Keisha ⭐☆☆☆☆ December 9, 2022
