“Terrible company to work with. An endless stream of phone calls and emails with no end result. They will call you – with an automated phone message – at 9am telling you to call them back. Endless emails asking you to provide things that were provided on day one. I told them on day one that the large tree in front of the yard has been removed, and that they cannot rely on google map views as they are not up to date. They canceled the on-site meeting the night before with no reason. When I contacted them – they told me that they canceled because “solar would never work at your house due to the tree.” Complete waste of time dealing with a very inconsiderate company, one that thinks very highly of themselves. “You can’t do better than Long Island Power Solutions! They made the entire process as easy as can be. They contacted PSEG, they filed the permits, they spec’d the system and installed it in under four hours on the day work was scheduled. I pulled out of my driveway at 7am, and when I got home at 5 there were panels on my roof pumping out kilowatt hours. Henry LaRosa (the sales rep) is completely honest, and all of his calculations for my power needs, my tax rebate, and my out of pocket expenses were 100% accurate. There were NO HIDDEN FEES or payments I wasn’t made aware of before hand. My system went live in October of 2016, I haven’t had an electrical bill since then! Don’t hesitate, these guys are honest. “LIPS was very professional at every level. Due to some recent very bad experiences with other contractors, I was a little bit of a difficult customer. They were patient, accommodating, and they got the job done within necessary timeframes. The crew came and went like a swarm of polite, clean, and efficient bees on the day of installation. The sales and paperwork staff are on it and the company uses all modern conveniences for completing paperwork via email with digital signatures. They also have one of the only responsive and professional repair departments in the business. They are currently trying to repair solar at my other property by getting a new invertor still under warranty. I highly recommend LIPS, especially as compared with other experiences I had getting estimates from other solar companies.
