“They replaced my roof, took my gutter guards, and left without telling me. In the fall I noticed leaves in my gutters — the guards were gone. Millstream came and put up mesh guards, then charged me $500 for a full box of guards for the garage. The tech told me he ran out of pieces mid-job. I asked the office why I was charged for a full box when only 13 pieces were used — they had no answer. “Friday and they came out first thing Saturday to do triage on the roof to address the 5 holes in the roof. That Saturday morning it was minus 10 degrees. They also gave us help in choosing the shingle we wanted. Millstream stripped the roof, replaced plywood and flashing before putting down the new roof. “A salesman posing as the owner convinced me to pay $1,300 for attic baffles and basement sealing in exchange for a $500 discount on the roof. Neither the baffles nor the basement sealing were ever done. I later discovered the check had been made out to his personal name, not Millstream. After a year of legal attempts, he has failed to appear in court repeatedly and has not repaid a cent. When I contacted Millstream, they refused to help — despite the fact that this employee had previously been arrested for stealing from at least two other customers before they hired him.
