The next day a different tech found the leak but said someone else would have to repair it — that trip was $450. The third trip for the actual repair was $2,700. “My unit is 6 years old and still under warranty. A tech came to service it and gave a great report. Two weeks later my unit stopped working — I was told the board burned out. Because the unit is under warranty, the part was free, but Old Coast wanted to charge $567 for labor on a 30-minute job.
